Hwang Jung Min to be added to the cast of Kang Tae Oh and Lee Sun Bin's new K-drama 'The Potato Lab'

Actress Hwang Jung Min will join the cast of the upcoming tvN K-drama The Potato Lab.

On February 28, it was officially confirmed that Hwang Jung Min will be part of the cast of the soon-to-air K-drama The Potato Lab. 

This will be her first K-drama project for 2025. Last year, Hwang Jung Min participated in the K-dramas Good Partner, Romance in the House, Dog Knows Everything, and The Fiery Priest Season 2. 

Hwang Jung Min started her acting career in 1997. She is known for being part of the K-dramas Moving, My Dearest, D.P. Season 2, The Forbidden Marriage, One Dollar Lawyer, Unicorn, When the Camellia Blooms, Uncontrollably Fond, and more.

Aside from K-dramas, Hwang Jung Min is also known for being part of the stage play The Secret of the Flower.

Hwang Jung Min will work alongside Kang Tae Oh, Lee Sun Bin, Lee Hak Joo, Shin Hyun Seung, and Seo Ji Hoon in the upcoming K-drama The Potato Lab. 

The upcoming K-drama will reveal the romance that will bloom at a potato research center located in a mountain valley. 

Director Kang Il Soo and writer Kim Ho Soo will work together again for the upcoming K-drama. The two have previously worked in the 2019 historical K-drama Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung.

Lee Sun Bin will play the role of Kim Mi Gyeon, a potato researcher with 12 years of experience at the Potato Research Institute. 

Kang Tae Oh will give life to the character named So Baek Ho. He was recently appointed as the new director of the Potato Research Institute. 

Hwang Jung Min on the other hand will portray the role of the leader of the Potato Research Institute's working group. 

Potato Research Institute will begin airing tomorrow at 9:20 PM KST. It will have a total of 12 episodes and it will exclusively air on tvN.
