Tan Song Yun and Liu Xue Yi's C-drama 'Against the Current' announces premiere date
On September 4, JTBC released a preview video giving a glimpse of the 2026-2027 K-drama lineup.
Among the first titles is The Final Table, starring Ahn Hyo Seop, Hong Hwa Yeon, Chang Ryul, and Jung Eugene. The Final Table follows Korean chefs from around the world as they gather for "The Table: K Chef 2026" competition to determine the best Korean chef.
Also featured is the upcoming historical drama Sacred Jewel, led by Ahn Bo Hyun, Lee Sung Min, Claudia Kim, Ha Yoon Kyung, and Yoon Kyun Sang. Sacred Jewel takes place in 1258 (Goryeo Dynasty), when defeat loomed after years of war with the Mongols. The story follows the heroic struggle of an expedition unit that sets out in search of a sacred relic believed to protect the nation, as well as a princess who strives to save them.
Then there is Gold Digger, the Korean adaptation of the British series of the same name. The drama revolves around a successful middle-aged woman and the dangerously alluring young man who enters her life. The story follows the two as they doubt and misunderstand each other's true feelings.
Kim Hee Ae takes on the role of Min Young Joo, the CEO of a publishing company, while Noh Sang Hyun plays freelance designer Jung Jae Hee, who becomes involved in a complicated relationship with her.
Finally, Human X Gumiho, starring Jun Ji Hyun and Ji Chang Wook, is a fantasy rom-com in which a bewitching being — a nine-tailed fox — who enchants humans and a shaman who attracts such supernatural creatures meet at a crossroads of fate.
