'My Royal Nemesis' hits double digits, retains Netflix popularity

The K-thriller Colony has surpassed 1 million moviegoers!
According to the Korean Film Council, Colony surpassed 1 million moviegoers on the morning of Sunday, May 24, drawing a cumulative total of 1,089,996 viewers within just four days of its release. In particular, the film reached the milestone faster than any other movie released in 2026, including The King’s Warden, this year's biggest box office hit with approximately 16.85 million admissions. After attracting global attention with its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, Colony has continued its box-office sensation, holding the No. 1 spot at the overall box office since its release.

Colony follows isolated survivors inside a building sealed off due to a mysterious virus, as they face the infected who evolve into unpredictable forms.
The K-movie is helmed by director Yeon Sang Ho (Train to Busan, Parasyte: The Grey, Hellbound), and stars Jun Ji Hyun, Koo Kyo Hwan, Ji Chang Wook, Kim Shin Rok, Shin Hyun Been, and Go Soo, among others.
