Jung Woong In is set to add another K-drama to his upcoming projects.

It was officially confirmed on July 22 that Jung Woong In is joining Park Ji Hoon, Yoon Kyung Ho, Han Dong Hee, and Lee Hong Nae in the upcoming webtoon-based K-drama Becoming a Cooking Soldier Legend

This will be the actor's third confirmed upcoming K-drama. This week, Jung Woong In can also be seen in the soon-to-premiere Netflix original K-drama Trigger led by Kim Nam Gil, Kim Young Kwang, Woo Ji Hyun, Park Hoon, Kim Won Hae, and Kil Hae Yeon. He will make a cameo appearance in the action thriller series.

Early this year, he also made a special appearance in the KBS series Villains Everywhere. Jung Woong In is also expected to star in the upcoming sitcom The Blue House Family

Aside from K-dramas, Jung Woong In will also star in the upcoming film Control

Jung Woong In recently showcased his warm and affectionate side as a father on ENA's entertainment program, My Child's Private Life.

Becoming a Cooking Soldier Legend is a military comedy K-drama that will focus on a young man in his twenties whose military enlistment takes an unexpected turn as he rises to become a legendary cook. The story will be depicted from the web novel of the same name by Jay Robin, a former military cook.

In the K-drama, Jung Woong In will portray the role of Lieutenant Colonel Baek Chun Ik, the commander of the 1st battalion. He's a leader who genuinely listens to his soldiers. His quiet charisma is so strong that it naturally makes the officers who might replace him feel a certain pressure just by being around him.

Director Jo Nam Hyung, who is known for creating the K-dramas Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, A Superior Day, Tale of the Nine-Tailed, and more, will helm the new K-drama.

Becoming a Cooking Soldier Legend will reportedly begin airing next year and will be part of TVING's Wednesday and Thursday K-drama timeslot.
