Kim Sae Ron's posthumous film 'Everyday, We' confirmed to premiere in 2026
KBS historical K-drama Great King Munmu confirmed its cast lineup.
On November 17, it was officially confirmed that Lee Hyun Wook, Jang Hyuk, Park Sung Woong, Kim Kang Woo, Jung Woong In, and Cho Seong Ha will lead the upcoming historical K-drama Great King Munmu.
Great King Munmu will showcase the fierce confrontation between the three countries of Goguryeo, Silla, and Baekje, and the Tang, leading to the unification of the three Kingdoms under Silla.
The K-drama will be the joint work of directors Kim Young Jo (Woman of 9.9 Billion, Hwarang, and Oh My Geum Bi) and Goo Sung Joon (Kick Kick Kick Kick, Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol, and Meow, the Secret Boy).
According to reports, Great King Munmu will be part of the Saturday and Sunday K-drama timeslot of KBS. It will reportedly premiere in 2026.

Lee Hyun Wook will give life to the role of Kim Pom Min. He is the eldest son of Kim Chun Chu and the maternal nephew of Kim Yu Sin. Though proud and emotionally reserved, Kim Pom Min is a fearless strategist willing to suffer disgrace to benefit his people and nation. He achieved unification as king, conquering the despair, tears, and blood of war.
Jang Hyuk will portray the role of Yeon Gaesomun, a ruthless dictator and the war god of Goguryeo. Goguryeo achieves victory under Yeon Gaesomun's strategic leadership, but his dictatorial methods threaten the kingdom’s future.
Kim Kang Woo will play Kim Chun Chu in the series, the first Silla King to arise from the elite aristocracy. He is also the father of Kim Pom Min. Although he appears perfect in both skill and looks, he is an ambitious person with inner conflict. He is a practical strategist who secures his objectives while maintaining a dangerous balance between survival and legitimate authority.
