Seo Kang Jun, Ahn Eun Jin & cast bring the dynamic characters of 'A Love Other Than Yours' to life
Kim Woo Bin is set to star in tvN's new drama Gift, which is scheduled to premiere in the second half of this year.
On August 5, tvN announced, "The new drama Gift will premiere in the second half of 2026," adding, "Kim Woo Bin has officially confirmed his appearance in Gift."
Gift tells the story of a former professional baseball pitching coach who gains extraordinary abilities after an unexpected accident and becomes the head coach of the country's lowest-ranked high school baseball team. The drama is based on the hit webtoon of the same name by writer Jeong Iriiri, which is currently being serialized to great popularity.
Kim Woo Bin will play Jung Min Yong, a former professional baseball pitching coach. After gaining the extraordinary ability to instantly see people's baseball talent, he is appointed head coach of the nation's lowest-ranked high school baseball team following his departure from professional baseball. Using his coaching methods, he sets out to transform the team while taking on a new challenge.
tvN said, "With his signature emotional depth and commanding screen presence, Kim Woo Bin will bring to life the growth and transformation that Jung Min Yong undergoes in a three-dimensional way." The broadcaster added, "In particular, he will convincingly portray Jung Min Yong's transformation as he constantly wrestles with the balance between talent and hard work, while growing alongside his players."
