Lee Do Hyun and Kim Min Ha are in talks for the Korean adaptation of the Chinese film Viva La Vida.

On May 22, officials from the agencies representing Lee Do Hyun and Kim Min Ha stated that both stars had been offered roles in the film Viva La Vida and are currently considering the proposals favorably.

Viva La Vida tells the story of two strangers living with terminal illnesses who meet and form a special partnership. As they become each other's source of strength during the days they have left, they gradually discover the meaning of life and true love.

According to reports, the Korean adaptation will feature some changes to the story and character settings to better suit Korean sensibilities. Although it falls under the melodrama-romance genre, the film is expected to deliver a richly layered human story dealing with life, death, and love, making it a project that will rely heavily on the actors' emotionally resonant performances and deep emotional atmosphere.

After being discharged from the military in May last year, Lee Do Hyun completed filming for the Grand Galaxy Hotel as his first comeback project.

The K-drama will reportedly be directed by Park Dhan Hee (Tastefully YoursWeak Hero Class 1).

The film is currently in the casting and pre-production stage with the goal of beginning filming in early autumn.
