Kim Sae Ron's posthumous film 'Everyday, We' confirmed to premiere in 2026
Lee Jae Wook and Choi Sung Eun are officially greeting viewers this year through the upcoming KBS K-drama Last Summer.
On August 26, KBS confirmed that Lee Jae Wook and Choi Sung Eun will be the main leads of the upcoming romance K-drama Last Summer. They also revealed that the series will officially premiere in November this year.
Last Summer will showcase the romance story of twin brothers and the daughter of their father’s friend. The twin brothers got separated after their parents' divorce and only see each other during summer vacations. The three spend summers together, and as adults, they uncover the secret behind their first love.
The upcoming K-drama is the joint work of director Min Yeon Hong (Insider, Missing: The Other Side, and Touch) and writer Jeon Yoo Ri (Kiss Sixth Sense and Radio Romance). This will also be a reunion for Lee Jae Wook and the director, as they previously collaborated on the series The Impossible Heir.
The production team of the K-drama shared, "Many are already anticipating the romance between Lee Jae Wook and Choi Sung Eun. Aside from the romance, the K-drama will also explore architecture, which is a rare theme in K-dramas, as well as the stories of the people around the main leads. We ask viewers to show their interest and support for Last Summer, which will have diverse episodes."
Last Summer will begin airing in November exclusively on KBS2.

Lee Jae Wook will portray two roles in Last Summer as twin brothers Baek Do Ha and Baek Do Young. The twins were separated in childhood after their parents' divorce. Baek Do Ha moved to the United States while Baek Do Young stayed in South Korea. Every year, the two spend 21 days together during summer vacation with the daughter of their father’s friend. The three have always been together during the summers, but due to an incident that happened two years ago, their bond experienced a change.
Choi Sung Eun will portray the role of Song Ha Kyung, a government architect. As a child, she spent summers with the twin sons of her father's friend, and though she constantly bickered with Baek Do Ha, she eventually developed feelings for him. However, since Baek Do Ha only visited during the summer, she chose not to confess her feelings. Now an adult, she learns a shocking secret about the twins, which sparks feelings of anger.
