Yoon Jung Hoon joins 2PM's Ok Taec Yeon and Girls Generation's Seo Hyun in a new K-drama
Lee Kwang Soo's third project with Disney+ will be with Park Bo Young.
On May 28, media outlet Star News shared an exclusive report stating that Lee Kwang Soo will be added to the official cast of the upcoming K-drama Goldland.
Goldland will showcase the happenings at the first casino in Korea built on abandoned mines, which have been underdeveloped due to the decline of the coal business.
Director Kim Sung Hoon (Chief Detective 1958 and My Little Hero) and writer Hwang Jo Yoon (Rampant, Memoir of a Murderer, and Confidential Assignment) will work together to create the upcoming K-drama.
Park Bo Young and Kim Sung Cheol will lead the upcoming thriller mystery K-drama.
Lee Kwang Soo will bring to life the character Park Ho Cheol, a psychopathic elite gangster who does not express his emotions. Loyal to his boss initially, he changes his mind and betrays him after seeing the 60 billion gold bullion. He will also work with Kim Sung Cheol's character, Woo Gi, who is his subordinate in the gang.
Goldland will be Lee Kwang Soo and Park Bo Young's reunion project after the 2015 film Collective Invention.
According to reports, Goldland will hold their script reading on May 29th and will earnestly begin filming, including overseas locations, starting in the first week of June.
This year, Lee Kwang Soo has been booked and busy with several works.
He recently starred in the tvN K-drama The Divorce Insurance. He also made his official debut in Netflix's original K-dramas through Karma this year. The actor is also set to star in the upcoming Disney+ original series The Manipulated with Ji Chang Wook, EXO's Doh Kyung Soo, Jo Yoon Soo, Yang Dong Geun, and Jung Heon.
Lee Kwang Soo is also going to lead the upcoming film Dreams of You with Hoang Ha, Eum Moon Suk, Yoo Jae Myung, Yoo Sun, and Bae Je Ki. The movie will reportedly premiere this year.
The actor will also reportedly lead the upcoming romance film Gwanghwamun Jealousy Fight.
