'If Wishes Could Kill' director shares team aimed to emphasize Korean identity in Netflix K-drama
Comedy K-movie My Daughter Is a Zombie attracts 2 million moviegoers in just 6 days after its release.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated ticket sales network, My Daughter Is a Zombie reached the 2-million mark around 4 p.m. (KST) on August 4. Following its first weekend, during which it drew 1,163,259 viewers over three days (August 1-3), the film attracted over 140,000 moviegoers on August 4, its sixth day since release (July 30).
With this, My Daughter Is a Zombie surpassed 1 million moviegoers in just 4 days and 2 million in 6 days, setting the record for the fastest box office success this year. This matches the pace of 12.12: The Day, which crossed the coveted 10-million moviegoer mark.
My Daughter is a Zombie tells the story of a doting father who tries to protect his daughter, who has turned into a zombie, from the world. The K-movie stars Jo Jung Suk, Choi Yu Ri, Lee Jung Eun, Yoon Kyung Ho, and Cho Yeo Jung.
