The Husband unveils new stills.

The Husband tells the story of Kang Tae Joo (Namkoong Min), who becomes locked in a life-or-death struggle against a criminal in order to save his wife, who is kidnapped just before their divorce.

Namkoong Min stars as Kang Tae Joo, a neurosurgeon and the director of Woori Hamkke (We Are Together) Hospital. In the drama, Kang Tae Joo tells his wife he wants a divorce after their marriage reaches a breaking point, only for her to be kidnapped the following day.

In the stills, Kang Tae Joo is seen wearing surgical scrubs with a grave expression, while in another, he appears in a doctor's coat, revealing a cold and hardened demeanor.

Namkoong Min said, "When I first read the script, I was struck by how quickly the story unfolded and how immersive it was. What also impressed me was that it goes beyond being a simple crime thriller, delving deeply into a married couple's emotions and relationship, as well as the choices people make when pushed to their limits. More than the character itself, I was drawn to the strength of the drama as a whole, which is why I chose the project."

He continued, "Kang Tae Joo felt very human to me. Even as he is constantly shaken and broken down, he never gives up until the very end."

Namkoong Min said, "Kang Tae Joo's appeal lies in the fact that, although he appears perfect, he is never truly perfect. As he throws himself into danger to save his wife, he is forced to confront his own weaknesses and the emotions he has long ignored. As the events unfold, he becomes increasingly shaken and undergoes significant changes."

The Husband is coming July 4. The K-drama will be streaming on Disney+ (select regions). Stay tuned!
