Jin Sun Kyu and Gong Myoung form an unlikely alliance in 'Husbands in Action'

Netflix has released poster and trailer for Husbands in Action.

Husbands in Action is an action-comedy that depicts the rescue operation of an ex-husband, Choong Sik (Jin Sun Kyu), and current husband, Min Seok (Gong Myoung), who reluctantly join forces to save a wife kidnapped by a criminal organization.

The newly released poster gives a glimpse of the starkly contrasting chemistry between two husbands who seem like the last people on the planet who could ever work together.

Choong Sik (Jin Sun Kyu), a narcotics detective and the ex-husband, shows his signature handcuff-arrest pose, while Min Seok (Gong Myoung), a veterinarian and the current husband, poised to dash forward immediately, creates a humorous juxtaposition.

Adding to the mix is Do Jun (Kim Ji Suk), the leader of a new drug trafficking organization, and his wife Hye Ran (Lee Da Hee), as well as Si Nae (Kang Han Na), the wife at the center of the incident, and Yong Kang (Yoon Kyung Ho), the boss of the Yonggang gang. 

The trailer opens with the constant bickering between Choong Sik and Min Seok, who clash every time they meet. Forced to form an alliance to save Si Nae and her daughter YeonjJu, the two find themselves caught up in one unexpected mishap after another wherever they go.

Then there is Yong Kang (Yoon Kyung Ho), the boss of the Yonggang gang, who is determined to reclaim his former glory, and the relentless pursuit of Ara (Jeon So Min), a reporter investigating the crackdown on a new drug trafficking organization.

In particular, the film promises plenty of spectacle as a comedy-action feature, from stylish car chases and hard-hitting combat to land-sea-air action sequences featuring the duo racing in paraglider suits while shouting, "We came to save you!" The pair's unexpectedly perfect teamwork — emerging in moments of crisis despite their usual hostility toward each other — promises laughter and exhilarating catharsis.
