On November 2, the production team of SBS's upcoming Friday-Saturday drama Good Partner Season 2 unveiled the first stills of Park Hae Jin as Park Tae Su, a lawyer aspiring to stand at the top of the industry.
Good Partner Season 2 follows Cha Eun Kyung (Jang Na Ra), a senior lawyer who is naturally suited to divorce cases, and Kang Hye Sung (Kim Hye Yoon), an experienced lawyer who is deeply committed to divorce cases, as they become each other's good partners.
In the K-drama, Park Hae Jin plays Park Tae Su, the managing partner of Taesu Law Firm, who is vying to reach the top in the divorce field. He has built his reputation through his YouTube channel, which has 200,000 subscribers, and is a lawyer with exceptional business acumen. He competes fiercely with Cha Eun Kyung to stay at the top of the divorce industry.
Park Tae Su's distinctive presence in the newly released stills sparks curiosity. His serious expression during a consultation catches the eye. His natural confidence and gentle smile convey a sophisticated aura that effortlessly draws people in. Another intriguing still shows him standing in court with all traces of a smile gone. It offers a glimpse of Park Tae Su as an "offensive" lawyer who doesn't hesitate to make bold moves in pursuit of victory and profit.
Park Hae Jin shared his thoughts on joining the series, saying, "I was looking forward to Season 2 being made because I had enjoyed watching the first season, and when I received a good offer, I gladly accepted."
He continued, "There was some pressure involved in joining a successful series with a new character, but I chose the project because the character of Tae Su intrigued me, and I felt I could show a different side of myself through the role."
Describing Park Tae Su as "the most practical character in Good Partner 2," Park Hae Jin added, "A lawyer is not only a judicial officer but also a businessman. Tae Su is also a YouTuber, so he is someone who makes choices that suit the age of self-promotion."
Regarding the aspects he focused on while portraying Tae Su, Park Hae Jin said, "He is like a breathing hole who provides a moment of relief amid what could otherwise be a rather heavy storyline. I aimed to portray him as a relatively lighthearted character and tried to make my performance as natural, relatable, and comfortable as possible. His slightly cute and playful side will probably be one of Tae Su's most appealing traits."
Good Partner Season 2 is coming November 20.
