Kwak Dong Yeon joins Park Bo Gum at THEBLACKLABEL

Update
Meng Zi Yi's fan communication channel, "Little Lemon Messenger", designated by Meng Zi Yi's studio, issued a statement, saying that after the filming wrapped up last night, Meng Zi Yi suddenly experienced discomfort. She promptly sought medical attention, and following diagnosis and treatment by doctors, it has been confirmed that there's no serious issue. She is currently resting and recuperating.

On the morning of April 12 (local time), reports about Chinese actress Meng Zi Yi experiencing health issues trended on Chinese social media.
People on Weibo say that after finishing work at 2 a.m., she suddenly experienced physical discomfort and was taken to the hospital. Rumours have it that her subsequent work schedule has been postponed or cancelled.
The cause of the issue and specific details have not been made public, and neither Meng Zi Yi nor her studio has made any statement at the time of writing.
After the news broke, it quickly sparked concern and discussion among fans and netizens. Many left comments, urging her to take care of her health and get proper rest. A considerable number of comments suggested that her workload may have been too intense. Some netizens even pointed out that, according to her schedule, she was expected to proceed directly to an advertisement shoot after finishing work late at night — a schedule they described as demanding and the one that puts immense strain on her health.
This marks the third time in the past few months that the Blossom actress's health issues have drawn public attention. In October 2025, while filming her upcoming costume drama Tigers Sniff the Rose, Meng Zi Yi got pulled backward and fell onto her back after a fellow cast member accidentally stepped on the long veil of the gauze hat she was wearing, causing the cloth to tighten around her neck.

At the time, the studio issued a statement, stating that aside from minor abrasions, no serious injuries occurred. They also stated that after finishing the scene, the production team would arrange for an orthopaedic specialist to conduct a comprehensive examination of Meng.

In December of the same year, at the Tencent Video Starlight Awards 2025, she fell while stepping onto the stage (the video of which went viral on Chinese and international social media platforms). While walking on stage, she accidentally stepped on the hem of her own dress with her high heels, immediately losing her balance. She sustained injuries to her knees and legs, yet still insisted on completing her subsequent commitments.

Afterwards, Meng Zi Yi posted a response, saying, "It hurts a bit. I'm fine after the check-up. There are no major issues. I just feel really embarrassed."

Meng Zi Yi's case is not the first one in recent times.

On the evening of April 2, actress Wang Chu Ran reportedly withdrew from a scheduled livestream event for the drama A Ming Dynasty Adventure after suddenly experiencing a health issue.
Her studio released a statement saying that Wang had suddenly experienced physical discomfort earlier that day. After a medical evaluation, she was advised to take medication and receive treatment.
The statement also expressed apologies to fans of A Ming Dynasty Adventure and viewers who had been anticipating her appearance, acknowledging the inconvenience caused by the last-minute change.

As reports about Chinese actors' health continue to emerge, concerns are growing over the impact of prolonged overexertion, pressures to maintain body weight below 45 kg, sleep deprivation due to back-to-back schedules, and high-intensity workloads. Together, these factors point to a systemic risk that threatens not only actors' physical and mental well-being but also the longevity of their careers.
