Ryu Seung Ryong and wife Ha Ji Won struggle to save daughter Kim Si A in 'Portrait of a Family'

A teaser for the upcoming K-movie Portrait of a Family has been released. 

Portrait of a Family follows top star couple Jung Gu (Ryu Seung Ryong) and Nam Mi (Ha Ji Won), whose marriage falls apart after Joong Gu's daughter Dong Ju (Kim Si A) suddenly appears. Eight years later, when Dong Ju becomes embroiled in a shocking incident, the couple risks everything to save her and uncover the truth. The film is directed by Lee Ji Won.

The teaser begins with Jung Gu encountering the scene of the middle school girl's death that occurred at Urim river. It then hints at the crisis that the incident will bring and the secrets hidden behind it through Dong Ju's confession, "It's my fault that she died," as she is consumed by guilt.

Interwoven with this is a warm memory from the past, in which Jung Gu gives Dong Ju a pair of shoes and says, "Do you know what day it is today? It's the day you and I met." The contrast between their happy moments and their precarious present hints at the special bond between the two.

Nam Mi says, "Win by any means necessary. And save her." What follows is the image of Jung Gu desperately running while holding Dong Ju's hand, foreshadowing the couple's desperate struggle to protect their child no matter what crisis they face.
