Yumi's Cells will possibly return with a new season.
On March 31, Studio Dragon and TVING announced that they are preparing to produce the third season of Yumi's Cells. According to reports, Kim Go Eun, who played Yumi for two seasons, received the offer again to reprise her role. The production team also clarified that the broadcast date and other casting have not yet been decided.

Yumi's Cells, which first aired in 2021 followed by a second season in 2022, gained immense popularity for its unique portrayal of Yumi's life through the perspective of her numerous brain cells controlling her thoughts, feelings, and actions. The upcoming third season will focus on the romantic relationship between Yumi and her final partner, Sun Rok, adapting the story from the popular webtoon of the same name by Lee Dong Geon.
The first two seasons were created by director Lee Sang Yeob and writers Song Jae Jung, Kim Yoon Joo, and Kim Kyung Ran.
Yumi's Cells Season 3 will possibly air once again on TVING and tvN.
If Kim Go Eun confirms her casting, this will be her third upcoming K-drama. This will also be her return to the romantic comedy genre after three years.
Kim Go Eun will make her grand comeback to the small screen in the upcoming Netflix original series, You and Everything Else and The Price of Confession.
