First of all—I'm so happy about this discussion board, so thank you for creating it! 💖 It's exactly what we needed to keep our fangirl brains organized ..
NOW... why am I even doing this comparison between the book and the drama, you ask? Simple. Because I’m absolutely OBSESSED with the ML. He’s drop-dead handsome, and yes, I shamelessly admit I started watching the drama purely because of him.. 😂
THE BOOK..
He’s around 30 -I think- with this quiet, calm energy that just pulls you in. Not cold at all—more like the kind of guy who’s been through a lot, so he doesn't open up easily. But once he does, it’s worth the wait.
He used to be a police officer, and even though he's not in the force anymore, you can still see that strong sense of justice in how he acts. He’s super observant too—like the kind of person who notices the small stuff others miss without saying much.
Money-wise, he’s doing well. His dad is a wealthy businessman, though they don’t have the best relationship. Still, he had access to that world growing up, and he built on it with smart choices and a lot of hard work. He’s definitely the responsible, steady type.
But emotionally? He’s been through some really painful stuff. He lost people he cared about deeply—including a former work partner—and he’s been betrayed in ways that really left a mark. That’s why he seems guarded. He protects his heart, but not because he doesn’t feel—because he feels a lot.
And when it comes to the FL, you can tell he cares deeply. He’s not showy about it, but the way he supports her, protects her, and slowly lets her in? It’s so tender and real. Honestly, he's the kind of guy who doesn’t need big words—his actions speak loud enough.
THE DRAMA...
He’s in his mid-twenties—at least that’s the vibe, though they haven’t told us exactly. But one thing’s for sure: he’s ridiculously handsome. The kind of man who turns heads without even trying. Tall, sharp features, eyes full of quiet storms, and that slow, intentional way of moving that makes it hard to look away. 😂He’s got this quiet magnetism—cool, composed, and just mysterious enough to keep you hooked. 💋
In the drama, we don’t know much about his past job, which only adds to the intrigue. But you can feel the experience on him—like he’s seen too much and learned to say too little. He’s the calm in the chaos, always observing, always two steps ahead.
He’s financially stable, partly thanks to his father—a powerful businessman—but their relationship is emotionally distant and tense. Add in a stepmother and younger half-brother, and the family picture gets even more complicated. Still, he’s clearly not the type to coast on his father’s money. He’s capable, grounded, and makes his own way.
Emotionally? We haven’t seen the full depth yet—no mentions of teammate loss like in the novel—but there’s something heavy behind those quiet eyes. The kind of pain that doesn’t shout, just lingers.
And when it comes to the FL? He’s slowly letting her in. Their connection is that slow-burn—the kind that makes you lean forward for every little glance or line of dialogue. No over-the-top gestures, but his subtle loyalty and care..
Still, the drama is ongoing—so maybe all these things will be cleared up as we go.
Just hoping I could offer something useful in all the fangirl chaos 😂
Okayyy next time I’ll do the rest of the character comparisons—BUT let’s be honest, the most important thing (to me at least lol) is the romance and kiss scenes 💋 So listen up girls, we actually got 3 hot kisses in the novel!!! Yesss you heard me right—THREE!! 💃💃
Can’t wait to dive deeper next time with more juicy details! 😂
