sis,, honestly—this isn’t hate, it’s just peak fangirl behavior 😂 People love shipping the leads, as you said, and hey—it’s in the book, so why not? Let us have our fun!

NOW.. let’s talk about Ao Rui Peng. This man did not just walk into Jiang Zhao’s shoes—he snatched the role, chewed it up, and served it back with seasoning.

He nailed every emotion without a single cringe in sight. No cheesy lines, no overacting—just raw sincerity, some heartbreak, and those dangerously soft puppy eyes. He gave us a character even deeper than the BOOK version. Iconic behavior.

So yeah, he’s my fave when it comes to acting in this drama. The chaos, the layers, the charm—it’s giving everything. We love a man who can break our hearts and make us laugh five seconds later 😂💖

ARP’s gave great performance indeed and this YWS’s character is so rich for him to showcase his great acting skills. It’s such a perfect casting.

@ Megumi-H ....Sis, sorry I missed your question earlier! So the kiss scenes are in Chapters 18 and 19, for both volume 4 and then later on—I'm not exactly sure of the chapter—but near the end, there’s a hot scene where he asks her to marry him ...

Thank you Sis dearest, most appreciated. Will check out how explicit the sensual kiss scenes are in the novel ;).

At the end of the official trailer we saw Mu Dai sitting in a chair in a room full of red statues. However I really dont recall this moment in the novel? Does anyone know or did it perhaps imply the moment she "killed" one of her personalities?

Also it seems like the drama is heading towards a different ending compared to the novel one.

That’s leopard episode I guess. In novel mudai gets make up as leopard here they will show otherwise I guess

Wasnt it Mudai who got Leopard's face and not vice versa? However in the trailers we also see Mu Dai herself stabbing Luo Ren and not Mu Dai under Leopard's face. So it kinda make sense what you're saying.

@Ling u said the ending is looking different. how do u think they r changing the ending?

The ending was when the seven ominous slips had been sealed  , and the Frozen Five,  , like statues, came back to life. At  the end of the seventh days...they returned..

They woke up on the cart while Shen Gun was casually humming a song and driving the cart - after literally  saving their bodies and bringing them down the mountain-  So yeah, happy ending for me!

Now about the teaser—I honestly didn’t see it yet, but I’ll go check it out and see what the confusion is all about ..

I don’t know how they’ll finish it in the drama , but if they go with some open ending or something super vague and confusing... I mean, that would be really  disappointing.... Just saying

Honestly I didn’t like the book ending much. But authors prefer these kind of open endings. Like they r leaving up to the audience:/

It should be clear, direct, and happy. If they must go for an open ending to add some suspense—sorry, that’s just super annoying. Like, after all the ups and downs we’ve been through, we deserve more than some vague fade-out.

Personally? I love happy endings—even if it’s a Greek tragedy!. . . lol  .. Life is already full of stress, chaos, and plot twists. The least they can do is give us something nice to breathe out and smile about at the end

Me neither. At least it was an implied happy ending. Im guessing with how much background they are removing from the characters overall, that the ending will be a closed one for drama. At least thats how im currently seeing it heading towards. The whole Guanghua talking to MuDais mom in another realm did not happen in the book. Its like they are putting another perspective besides our 5 heros.

ZG talk with Mudai mom I understand because of change in mudai character audience should know what’s happening to redvamp. ZG is obvious choice.

I’m skeptical about luoren arc, that chapter s so stressful, intense n violent. I think they will change his background jus like mudai arc

So  in the novel it’s mentioned FL was not the crazy lady’s biological child. But here in drama, we see it’s ML asking her to tell FL that they are not actually related.

So this change in the drama is to help FL feel less guilty being an abandoned child by her own biological mom and so her trauma can heal?

I wondered is a white lie told out of compassion really good or bad for a person. Well, we won’t find out here and I shall not dwell too deep;) Occupational hazard.

Doolset..  I agree—there’s no doubt they’re changing things. Luo Ren’s character in the novel is way too intense for the softer, more PG tone the drama has taken lately. Even the violence and passion feel dialed down. With the episode count being cut, like you mentioned, it just confirms that they’re trimming and reshaping a lot to fit the new direction. I’m not complaining though—let’s just see where we’re heading with this ..

Megumi-H.. Exactly! They softened it to help her heal, and give her some emotional closure. Classic compassionate white lie move LOL..
