1) Cute,loving,understanding couple's jounrey . Family bond and love is well portrayed between women of the households.
2) 90:10. ( only you need to tolerate king/ emperor who eventually understands at his deathbed )
3) There is SML who likes FL but FL never liked him back ..like never ..she never sent any mixed signals to SML .
4) They officially became couple in ep 21 ..But they have started liking each other from long before(they have one of a kind beautiful dynamics even before they said it in words). Also there is no SFL . They were flirty from very starting . Also a major spoiler , FL gets to know about real identity of ML in ep 17 ( which could potentially ruin their relationship or as you would though to be the case but nope they clear their misunderstandings very very quick !!) I love this part !! Both are mature sensible .. Especially FL is different from all other leads as she is mature , kind, considerate . No throwing of tantrums as she has lots of responsibility on her shoulders and is busy making the ends meet for her family . OFC Our ML is supportive through and through. Not even once did he hesitate !!

6) One small breakup but only for king's sake but they got back together very soon .

8) I don't feel you have to skip any part personally. Just be ready to have a sour aftertaste whenever the King appears on the scene, if you wanna avoid it, you can skim over it . He was also not bad / evil through and through. He just wants to have and use ML by keeping him on his side and using him as tool .But by the you would also understand that he sometimes shows a soft corner for the ML .For all we can say , the emperor is a complex character.
9) FL , a genius . She keeps her skills hidden from her family just in case . She travelled a lot with her grandpa overseas so she had real experience traveling. So FL'S family(female members) are banished to live outside the capital, and Men have to work as slave in the north. Now FL is left with all the noisy women who don't know what poverty actually is . Which she and her family overcomes eventually. She also became the head of the family very soon .
ML has his own traumatic childhood and evil father and stepmother. But you would also love ML 's sister (Shaoyao) .She also have love story and it's all fluffy . ML takes his revenge and the story is a happy ending for everyone.
Emperor also dies ending tak and good and kind young prince is crowned as emperor.
