Looking for dramas like Eternal Love of Dream

I'm almost done watching Eternal Love of Dream (Pillow Book) and I really need something to entertain me once I'm done! I absolutely love this drama, and would love to find one with a very similar couple dynamic as Donghua and Fengjui.

What I love about Donghua and Fengjui as a couple:

I love how Donghua is normally emotionless and cold towards people, but softened up and grew warm for Fengjui. I'm a sucker for a ML who will change/show differences to the person they love.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the teasing and bantering they have with each other. For some reason I really like seeing the teasing and playful stages a lot! It really brings out the development between these two.
The lengths Donghua and Fengjui will go for each other truly shows how much they love each other.

What type of drama am I looking for?

A drama with a couple very similar to Donghua and FengJui! (I love their dynamic so much)
I would love the drama to have angst, romance, and teasing/playfulness with the main couple.
A ML and a FL that is independent and capable. I love it when the ML is generally strong and dependable. I also like that a FL isn't dumb, and can actually do things on their own without constant assistance from others.
A slow burn romance! I loveeee a slow burn romance. Something that develops in time.

I think this is a must watch! It is a really great drama and fit your taste! really one of the best in this vibes!

and since you liked ashes of love, you might like Novoland: The Castle in the Sky, give it a try!

Quick question about Novoland, does it get a little better later on? I found the FL's acting to be really bland and the scene transitions a little sloppy :( not sure if it was because it's an older show or if the FL actress didn't have much acting experience

hi, I understand what you mean, it really feels sloppy at the beginnig, it`s because they try to give the drama an easy -going feeling.

I dont know to say if the actors get better as the drama progress, but I can tell you I felt the same way you described at the beginning, and the storyline got really intresting and captured me. somehow it felt like ashes of love which the act wasnt so proffesional there either. it`s just that the storyline and the romance scenes are really uniqe which keeps making you want to keep watching it!

BTW you really must watch eternal love it is really one of the bests! though the storyline there is really slow progressed (qucik spoiler- after the female lead meet the male lead again - after jumping from the cliff- things become really intresting! I watched the drama more than once!)

Ohh okay thank you so much! I might try Novoland again since I really did like the premise of the story! Crossing fingers it gets better :D

As for Eternal Love, I was reallyyy tempted to starting it, I was mostly worried that I wouldn't enjoy seeing my favorite couple become a side character couple (Donghua and Fenjui)

oho... I don't know with you, but The Long Ballad already aired , and the situation of the drama is little bit same like what you explain upthere, and yeah the girl is same again, dilraba ^^ but the male lead guy is diff, he is arrogant at first, but then next he become warm to the female lead, and at first the female lead kind of arrogant to the guy, but i think after that she become attracted too later.. hehehe
