10. My Love From the Star - since it has been over 24 hours I thought I'd add one that doesn't quite fit. She is a teenage girl the first time he met her, he was a hundreds of earth years old by then but I'm guessing still considered fairly young (?) on his home planet. He saved her from being hit by a truck (why is it always a truck?).

10 dramas, you found annoying, where it takes most of it for the leads to finally get together only to be separated for a specific period of time (3 months min, 5 years max). Did you like this drama anyway? Did it all make sense the long time then the separation..?

1. Twenty Five Twenty One 

2521 was one of those well made korean tv series in terms of (almost) everything, 

the acting, the cinematography,  the camerawork, the chemistry between the involved characters were top notch.

Except for the ending.


The writer scarred me forever.

So it took them most of the series to get together, they were fine for two seconds then they rightly/wrongly were separated for 3 months - 5 years then ended up together again? I think this might be me info gathering for dramas to avoid. :)

If i were looking for some legit realistic, tearjerker love story, i would've gone straight to Japanese Dorama.

No worries. I've seen a few dramas that fit my topic that I kinda like and kinda don't. I cannot remember their titles so I cannot add them.

2. Crash landing on you (Overall, I didn't find it annoying that it took a while for them to be together, but the MULTIPLE separations and the ending (how they lived after they became a couple (they only ever meet for a limited period in their lives, a couple weeks in Switzerland) were beyond frustrating to me!!
But because the drama was well done, the subject matter was super interesting and the supporting characters were endearing... I still rewatch it from time to time XD

3. Love and Redemption (the number of times the 2 leads was separated was frustrating. 1st time was 4 years after they met, then they got together. Then few days of separation in between because of so much misunderstanding. Then another 2 years after another major fight between demons and humans.  But I really love the drama inspite of that 🤣

4. A Tale of Thousand Stars - not annoying, n the matter of fact i love this. But this suit the topic anyway. They be together at the end of the story, but one of them need to study abroad

6. The Promise - slow burn romance. They didn't get together until the second to last episode if I remember right. But soon after, the one ML left for a year. The whole drama is about how they were friends that were separated for many years until meeting again. Honestly I was very annoyed that they were separated for so long and were very heartbroken and scarred from it, only to meet again, then decide to separate again. I mean I also thought the one ML got a taste of his own medicine since he was the one that disappeared the first time, but overall, I was annoyed more than anything. As for the drama as a whole, it was okay but didn't live up to my expectations.

RE: Twenty-Five Twenty-One  I hate to be the bearer of bad news but they don't end up together in the end. Sometimes, you meet someone you need at that time in your life, but due to circumstances, you don't end up together. Hopefully, you can each cherish that time together and remember those happy times.

7.  A Little Thing Called First Love The ML was one year older so he went to college before the FL. It took some time to get together because they were so young when they met and she was so shy. He didn't realize he liked her since high school, but he would come up with excuses to return to his high school even though he was so busy in college. She was able to attend the same college. The separation that bugged me was when the ML made a unilateral decision to not study abroad when they both decided to go. Instead, he didn't explain himself and just didn't show up at the airport (so cruel). There was a perfectly good reason, and FL is a reasonable person, but he was afraid she would give up on her dreams because he needed to stay. IIRC, they were apart less than 2 years while she was abroad, but they didn't communicate at all during that time. Regardless, I love this series and have re-watched it.
