10 titles that depict some romantic gesture which is not considered romantic in your culture

So, in the title it's a display of affection but for your culture it's either meaningless gesture or it has some meanings which isn't romantic

1) The Red Sleeve - forehead kiss. It's shown as a display of affection between lovers in many titles especially historical ones. Sure some people do this with lovers or for non romantic love display (i.e. with their kids, relatives) but it's not considered a standard romantic gesture where I'm from (Russia).

Also, in my culture people give forehead kisses to the dead people at funeral, it's not as common now but it used to be. So, sometimes, if you kiss someone on the forehead, you can hear "don't kiss me like that, I'm not a dead person".

Good question. I can't really think of a specific example that comes to mind.

2.A male lead putting shoes on the female lead - a popular trope symbolizing devotion and care.

In case the male lead is older than the female lead.

In India, touching the feet of elders is a traditional gesture of respect and seeking blessings. Primarily performed by younger people toward elders.

While not generally practiced by elders towards younger people, touching a younger person's feet can be uncomfortable for the younger person.

It is believed that an elder touching a younger person's feet reduces longevity,

Even in shoe showrooms, Indian customers are not in favor of having the salesperson put shoes on their feet.

Thank you for this interesting topic and great answers! It's so nice to learn about different cultures!

10 dramas/movies showing beautiful/interesting vegetation/trees

  1. The Beauty Inside (2018) - ML's stepdad worked in a greenhouse with peppers (I think). I found that interesting.

  2. Still 17 - the tree/plant at the bottom of the steps. It needed to be in just the right place to flourish.

  3. Extraordinary You - There is a fair bit of interesting plant life happening in it. Not sure if it is purely artist imagination or a combo or real and imagined.

4)Jirisan

5) A Tale of Thousand Stars

6)Legend of Yun Xi

7- Who Is She? - Has red Bamboo forest....found this beautiful/interesting because I've only ever seen green/yellow.
