Out of curiosity, why go ahead doesn't fit the topic? Because when I recall watching this drama, all I do recall FL's dad being a caring father, which was only parent she was having during her growing days.

I agree on FL's dad but when it comes to Go Ahead and I can't seperate these two as a family unit because they lived and interacted as a family all together. That's why I asked you about family dynamics in my first reply, I wasn't sure if it counts before you answered

Just as example I mentioned When Life Gives You Tangerines, FL had the best parents but her brother didn't get same treatment, so it also doesn't fit my topic, I listed it as a bonus :)

FL read many books to look educated so that she can connect with many important men to expand her club, later on she also read fortune-telling books because she exchanged profession. She read so many different books so that she can do anything (including a popular singer's manager).

3. Story of Minglan

I remember Minglan broke her second engagement because that male wanted to take his sterile divorced once exiled maternal cousin as a concubine that scheming ML released in purpose. And she rejected all the concubines her step mother in-law sent eh maybe not sent by her, but definitely a relative sent them.

4. Lost You Forever (dropped S2 but S1 was amazing)

Initially FL wanted to marry a man that won't have a concubine, it's a rule she told many times to ML#1/maternal (?) cousin and ML#3/the beggar she saved/the richest man in her mother's country/later her lover and oh maybe ML#2/the snake with nine heads/the enemy country's commander too before later ML#3 being set up to "sleep" with his fiancee/his older brother's secret woman/ML#2('s "stolen" identity)'s younger sister and then because she's pregnant (with his brother's son) they had to marry because his grandmother whose under the spell insisted but later he found out the truth, divorced her and plan to sending her to exile (though iirc she died or something after killing her secret man/ML#3 older brother but he's keeping the son, who's an innocent victim).

6.Love Like the Galaxy: Part 1- FL had this conversation with her first fiance(SML) about no concubines and her expectations for marriage. The actual ml declared he will only marry her in his lifetime anyway. correct me if i remembered wrong

7.The Legend of Dugu-MLswore an oath to FL to never to take concubines and never to have children with any other woman. FL was his only wife.
