Everything counts. It seems like the Great Chinese Wall is not very friendly to appear in dramas.

Haha, yes.. China is a huge place (geographically) and while there are some dramas/movies that take place in and around Beijing (and in the areas around the Great Wall) , there are plenty of other places where shows take place (as opposed to kdrama, where I think Seoul is generally the main location, whether it is explicitly stated or just presumed) like Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, etc.

10 titles where there is an awkward or embarrassing confession scene (can be main or side CP) 

1. Gen Z (FL is in an outhouse and ML insists on accompanying her outside. Context: he just saved her life with TCM but his prescription included a higher quantity of a certain ingredient, which causes her to be more weak)

2. The White Castle (ML’s sister, who is also considered a main cast, has just had her bathroom sink pipe burst and is cleaning the flooded bathroom. SML, who is brother‘s coworker at the hospital, comes over to help her clean. She is resting on the (closed) toilet when he confesses)

I'm not if these are what you had in mind regarding awkward.

4. Growing Season - The ML likes the FL who is his childhood friend but he doesn't want to be with her because he believes he isn't good enough for her and he cries while confessing.

5. Kiss Scene in Yeonnamdong - The FL got drunk and kissed someone that she believes was an amazing kiss but she can't remember who it was so she has to put little pieces of the puzzle together based on small bits of information. And that makes it awkward for both.

Does it matter if it's  awkward for the characters or for the audience?

6. Make It Right 2 - Lukmo and Yok. Lukmo and Yok run into each other on the way to the bathroom, Lukmo falls in love at first sight, following Yok, he confesses he want to date him while Yok is in the restroom (pooping sounds being heard), in the process Lukmo starts loudly pooping in the stall next to him. Yeah, awkward to watch (and not funny, but gross). Could have lived without that scene.

Either! And yea.. this is similar to my first example (although in my example, while awkward to watch, I thought it was meant to be more endearing that ML couldn’t keep FL out of his reachable distance even while she is in the outhouse)

Great! I just remembered some drunk confession scenes (one from an on-going drama) but I'll only post one as I've reached my limit unless you don't get more answers.

8. Fireworks of My Heart - FL and ML were high school sweethearts but had to break up because FL's mother did not approve. However both continued to secretly like each other even years later. FL finally lands up at his house in a drunk state and angry-cries confessing that she still likes him but he doesn't like her anymore while his sister and her brother's friend look-on. It's a bit of a heart-breaking scene but it's awkward because she's drunk and hitting him while he just stands there in silence.

thanks! And oof, I just watched that scene a couple of days ago (I’m a little behind schedule in this one since I am waiting to watch it together with my DH) and absolutely agree with this one!

9. Love in Contract - ML accidentally let his confession slip. If I remember correctly there was a jealousy scene, FL was pretending to be SML's gf and ML's ex wife entered the picture, and when after in the car FL and ML kinda sort things out, ML said that actually he came there to confess his feelings. So, it was cute but awkward :)
