10 adapted (=remake) Dramas/Movies that (in your opinion) are better than the original one and why. They can be either adapted from a Western or an Eastern production.

1. My Love (2021, china) - remake of k-movie On Your Wedding Day, I watched the Chinese one first and personally I liked it more bc the emotions felt more raw

3.  Love In Time - Chinese remake of Taiwan fantasy Meet Me 1006, The FL was terribly immature in the original, really off as a reporter. The remake FL is much more believable, as is the developing relationship. The premise is that at 10:06pm every night, for 40 minutes, there is time crossover in which an apartment combines itself with the tenants from four months apart (female reporter, male lawyer), and their possessions. She is in September 2021, he in January 2022 - they can both walk out into January. Loved the premise, so it was disheartening not to like a main charcter in the original.

4. Hana yori dango - shorter than meteor garden & I more like the ML & FL in here than any other version

I preferred the FL in Hana Yori Dango (2005) because she was the most consistently strong character, the ML in Boys Over Flowers (2009) because he was the smartest, the SML in Meteor Garden (2018) because I'm on Team Lei all the way, and the OST of  Meteor Garden (2018) because half the songs were sung by the main actors. Overall, I enjoyed the production of F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers (2021).

7. Signal: Choki Mikaiketsu Jiken Sosahan+ Signal: The Movie – Cold Case Investigation Unit +Signal: Choki Mikaiketsu Jiken Sosahan SP  -Only because it at least gave the story some closure . I really loved the  Korean original but the ending left us wanting  more.

8. 18 Again -(remake of American movie  17 Again)  I think they are good in different ways. They are tonally in  different lanes for me. Some would argue that the remake is better so it is worth mentioning

9.Mr. Queen- (remake of c-drama Go Princess Go)- It is higher quality production wise and clearly had a bigger budget.
