Boy do I have recommendations! 

- Goukon ni Ittara Onna ga Inakatta Hanashi | All three FLs are masc-presenting and they're the ones that pursue, flirt with, and try to woo all three MLs. If you wanna see two dudes have a sexuality crisis while their himbo bestie is living his best life then I cannot recommend enough

- Sousa Kaigi wa Living de! - Breadwinner FL x Househusband ML. More family-focused than romance focused but it's a fun and simple watch.

- Ooku (and its related content that I haven't yet watched so I can't speak for em) - Historical and realistic matriarchy portrayal. If you want a fix of palace harem shenanigans but reversed, I'd defs recc xD Unfortunately not too much romance but FL is an undefeated badass 

- Shijukara - Mentioned it a few days back. Noona romance with like an 18 year age gap. The couple's relationship falls more into egalitarian territory than RR imo but she is his employer and is obvi the more mature one. A lot of the side stuff is fairly RR too. (spoiler) the main parallel arc is related to ML's job as a sex worker for older women and he has a protective girl bff that feels very rr-coded. Very much felt like the reversal of the usual female prostitute storyline

- Shufu Maison - An episodic following six househusbands. If you need a fix of cuteness, I'd recc (my two favs are the ones with kiddies, like augh, stay at home fathers FTW)

- Hiyama Kentaro no Ninshin - This one isn't romance but it has a romantic arc. ML and FL quite literally flip the gender roles but also in behaviour. FL was such a douche and ML was a bbg

- Saitama no Host - Host club setting. FL is a cold and aloof badass and ML is a cutie shy bb (only slight romance and it's veryyyy campy so be warned xD but it's cute)

- Kuragehime - ML is a cross-dresser and the model for FL's fashion business. Also has the token-guy trope in an all-girls group (NO HAREM). Admittedly the lead's relationship is... pretty lacking (not v RR). FL is very meek but I still loved it cuz good grief is ML beautiful

- Ore no Kawaii wa Mousugu Shohikigen!? - Warm Man/Cold Woman & vain cutie ML

- My SO Has Got Depression - More egalitarian territory but we got soft and gentle ML and bold and protective FL. I just love this movie so frigging much 

- Joosama ni Sasagu Kusuriyubi - Mini noona drama. FL is older, mature and stern and ML is a cutie bubbly bb

- xxxHOLiC - no romance. Mentor FL/Disciple FL, Strong FL/Weak ML, Prince in peril ML (I will die mad that they made ML a high schooler cuz it was weird af)

Titles I'm still very early into but are RR: Takane no Hana-san (FL is kinda mean and bossy, ML is a himbo. She's his boss and she peruses him), Colorful Love: Genderless Danshi ni Aisareteimasu (this one was already mentioned before so u know), Gokushufudo (househusband ML x Breadwinner FL), Haiiro no Otome (Stalker and protective FL and bbg ML. Couldn't continue this cuz the last episode was never subbed :'))

sorry for the wall-of-yap xD I just wanna make sure I could explain the why. I know @Ree also watches a lot of rr doramas so maybe they have more/better reccs but idk if they're around

Oh my gosh, my memory is terrible! But you know what? I'm having a blast with this challenge! Jdramas are so quick and have just the right number of episodes, making it perfect for me to watch while I tackle my work. I've been letting them play in the background, and it's just fantastic!

Joosama ni Sasagu Kusuriyubi -

I started by watching Ousama ni Sasagu Kusuriyubi, but I didn't connect with the main character in that series. Then I discovered there was a side story featuring Riku, and I loved it! Riku and Misaki were just adorable together!

I agree that Jdramas just hit that sweet spot of not too long, not too short in overall length and also episode length. 20-30 minutes is such a great length for me cuz after the 45 min I'm clocking out, hahaha That and I just find Jdramas refreshing, there's this soft home-y feeling to them

I saw your post on the challenge and thought I would look at your current watchlist. Holy cow. I thought I had a lot of dramas on my CW, but you're sitting at 94 titles. I'm impressed LMAO

Oh boy, what a vibe! I just had to shuffle all those dramas off my CW and plop them into my custom PTW list because scrolling through the endless sea of unwatched dramas was giving me serious anxiety! 

Now, I'm on a mission to sort out all the J dramas from my PTW into a shiny new J drama PTW list—yep, the one I shared with you earlier! I only added the recommendations you all gave me, but I figured, why not toss in the other J dramas I’m itching to watch too? Gotta keep it organized, right? 

With this year's challenge, I have a feeling my completed list is going to be overflowing with J dramas while Thai and Korean dramas are taking a backseat. Honestly, Korean dramas have been feeling like a marathon lately—so long and often packed with heavy themes that I just can’t seem to focus on.

But hey, a girl’s gotta try!

Yes j-dramas will be kings for me too. I have been in drama slump lately with k-dramas and c-dramas. so I have to explore new horizons. Plus I love J-dramas vibe. This is for the best.
