• "Could it be tied to the drama name?" - Ooooooo, I never considered that O-O 
• "an idiom for talented individuals in concealment" - Yo, neither did I! So based! 
• "Wait wait wait, how is Lu Shi still alive?? What is this timeline?? I'm so confused..." - Everytime Shen travels he goes further back in time so the events of ep 7 happen years before the events we've seen thus far so Lu Shi is still alive and tiny
• "but when did he learn to fight like that?" - The power of being a Cdrama ML or maybe he took some martial arts lessons in the present day just to be able to go back in time and kick some butt, lolol
• "meanwhile my brain is fried" - SAME T_T 
• "The town scenery with all the rain and lantern lights looks so beautiful!!" - 1000% agree!!

Hmm.

I mean, extremely popular dramas will always be hyped up xD But from my experience they rarely live up to said hype, if they're even my vibe at all (considering most of the romance I watch is to some degree role reversal, definitely not). I tried that last year and even this year and so far only 1 of the very popular dramas has actually lived up to the hype and it wasn't Korean, ahahha

Once I discovered that my slump was directly tied to the absence of dopamine recieved when partaking in a hobby (adhd go brr), I changed how I approached it which is to drop what I don't like. Often I'll get back to them eventually anyway and if not, no loss.

I'm especially guilty of just wanting to finish something 'cause it gives me a dopamine rush and I also partake of a lot of challenges ;-; Ultimately if you got only a handful of eps left you can fast forward through it or watch it faster so you can complete it.

I for one am really struggling to finish Nothing but You. It was cute, it's been cute but it should've ended already (why is it 38 episodes?! WHY?!) T_T I still got like 10 eps to go. Not quite at the FF to finish yet but I don't have the enjoyment that I did in the first 10-20 eps.

An RR challenge definitely does sound interesting xD Not sure how one would go about it though, however... nothing stopping you from joining a challenge and committing to only RR titles. That does sound like quite the interesting challenge tbh, haha. But I'm don't wanna tempt you or push you, you know what's best for you ^^ 

I've been on an RR binge ever since I discovered it back in 2022 so I totally get you. I get very giddy when I find an RR title or when I'm watching it, lmfao- Rather than a phase I think it's just that I finally found romance that speaks to me, lol. I'll watch other types of pairings too but RR just hits different and adds to my pre-existing enjoyment of the unusual, atypical, and anti-cliche xD Especially the feeling of having just discovering RR was unrivaled. That high sure was something else, lmaaoo

Maybe it's just not the time. Put it on-hold or remove it from your list entirely for time being and try again some other time when you're in the wuxia mood. I had the same with Till the End of the Moon which should be right up my lane and was highly recommended by likeminded mutuals but I just wasn't vibing with it at the time so I didn't force myself.

Augh, I really feel you T_T I've been learning Mandarin for quite a while now but it's still difficult to understand long sentences without subs. Best I get is like a handful of words here and there 😢 

I did watch some titles raw but I avoid it when I can. As for this duo, I'm not really sure just how many dramas they were in together. I checked Douban and it seems like it's just the three (one of which is unsubbed) plus their cameos in two, but they do seem to work a lot together in commercials and the sort which I've admittedly watch a lot of in both tumblr and youtube 🤡 The copium is real 

Glad you loved Dong Lan Xue! It's such a gem. That steamy scene lives rent-free in my mind 😌

So, I actually liked this one. Same main actors as Zhang Gong Zhu Zai Shang so you know it'll be good. The first episode (was that when that woman was killed by him?) was shocking to say the least. They make such a great team, the to main characters. A killer team for sure haha

Gave it a 9 but I enjoyed it differently from Zhang Gong Zhu Zai Shang.
