I think that's correct - and likewise I believe that Fluke, Kao and others were independent (non-managed) actors who were brought in for "UWMA".
There's a lot to be said for bringing in the right actors for each role rather than fitting roles to a roster of managed actors, i.e. free agents rather than studio system (not that I don't love GMMTV). In principle, it would be better for the art, and the best actors would actually get paid what they're worth. (Although I get the impression that GMMTV treats their people well, the stars probably get paid shockingly little, not counting considerable side income from events and product promotions.)
On the other hand, this opens the door to nasty situations like the famous conflict between Perth's and Saint's agencies at the time of "Love By Chance", which precluded Saint from continuing in "LBC2" (and generally did a lot of damage at the time).
