PerayaForever:

I am so excited to see my babies KristSingto’s new series that starts in a couple more weeks. I am about to go rewatch sotus, sotus s and sotus: Our Skyy episode. 😍😁🥹❤️🥰

I’m watching Sotus for the first time. It’s so good!

I love it so much 😁🥰

Fight for Love—very cute. First VT BL I’ve watched but I liked it a lot. Hate that it’s not listed on MDL tho.

ai long Nhai— not the best BL ever but meenping are so cute and sweet together it’s still a fun watch. I’ve watched my gansta oppa and the rebound as well. Both are violent and not as cute. I would still rewatch both tho. Of the two, the rebound was better, but more intense.

my stubborn—I watched ep2. Frankly I don’t care if the story is a hot mess but i don’t think it is. I’m just enjoying it so much because there aren’t many BLs like this where everyone is coupling but not “together” and just teasing each other. I love all the spice and the great chemistry. I don’t want all my BLs like this but I am still loving this one.

Yeah, I think you're right that it's not so much a (hot) mess in the trainwreck sense as simply one of those Thai BLs with more characters than a Russian novel. Once one has them figured out, it's a reasonably nice (and titillating) watch.

And speaking of nice watch, today's episode 2 of "Boys In Love" was a fluffy delight.

Glad you liked it - especially as my credibility was on the line, haha. I've long since given up hope on MDL adding Vietnam - which is really unfair, since its population, economy and entertainment industry seem roughly comparable to Philippines, which is included.

Yup. I don't expect brilliant drama from Meen & Ping, but I love 'em . (Sadly now past tense, oh well.)

I HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY ABOUT MY STUBBORN, but I need a quick nap first 🤣🤣🤣 I’ll be back! I have NOTES!

Also— Boys in Love was ADORABLE. That ending /clutches heart/

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like Shane and Kit could give us a really great on screen hug— like they just both look like they give great hugs lmao. I have no proof but 0 doubts.

Update:

They strike again lol

Something seems familiar between Your Sky and Boys In Love. I can't quite put my finger on it lol.

Read the entire page. What happened to Xiao Zhan is heartbreaking.

Replaced WYB's movies in my challenge with other CN series. No longer WYB's fan but I never really was, was I? I kinda was into YiZhan though. I feel guilty about it now. :(

This is a very anti-Wang YiBo article. Although I have read quite a few versions of those events, this is the most anti-WYB one so far. The one that has the most references to other articles and source materials and seems less gossipy that I have found is this one:

Xiao Zhan incident

Edit: typo corrected in bold above.

Just saw this. It was for his dad that just passed. 😔

When Fourth backed out of a Fan Meet with Gemini, he received a lot of backlash (not here but in other SM). As fans, I wish we could all truly support the artists because we don't know anything about their private life. In hindsight, Fourth obviously made the right decision to spend his time with his dying father. I just had to get this off my chest. I really feel for Fourth who has lost his father when he is so young.

Probably their way of saying: Enough already with the all-too-perfect LITA’s house everywhere! 😂

Boys in love:

Kim won me over with “Everyone has their own tastes,” and liking Doraemon. I loved Professor Nat's attitude. I'm really enjoying the stories, but my favorites are Kim & Moon and Tan & Nat. It just hit me that one’s name is the reverse of the other!

My stuborn

Loving the series. It’s nailing the balance between being bold and sexy while still staying sweet and adorable. Professor Sorn isn’t fooling anyone with his so-called Sex Ed 101 classes. He’s practically broadcasting his crush on Jun loud and clear! And Jun? He never misses a chance to make his move.

Yeah, it is. But it's not the entire article that shocked me. It was what WYB apparently said before saying "brother loves you" in the behind the scenes of The Untamed. If you go to the last section of the page I linked, you'll see what I mean. This, added to the previous shocking thing he did (aka blackface in that new movie of his), really made me not want to be his fan anymore. Why couldn't he keep his mouth shut in the first event and why couldn't he refuse to accept the role in this movie in the second?

I am also taking anything wikipedia says with a grain of salt because while you can find out good info about things on that site, it can be edited by anyone so basically it's not a credible source for say, research of any kind (yes, including about the 227 incident).

"Professor" LOL. He is so possessive and gets jealous at normal coffee chats. Then, asks for a kiss to feel secure again. I'm finding it hilarious. And with all that attention, Jun is starting to feel moved, but also getting mixed signals because of the Sorn/Penny ship in the office.

Yes, it can be edited by anyone, but the nice thing about it is that there are so many reference and sources cited - Not gossip mags. So, I feel a bit better about wiki when I can verify the sources rather than read one article that reads like a conspiracy theorist wrote it. No doubt that the fan bases' extreme actions led to the extreme sanctions by the Chinese government (not that I agree Xiao Zhan could've have controlled his millions of fans). I'm a fan of both Xiao Zhan and Wang YiBo. I think their friendship and potential future collaborations truly suffered, not to mention actual financial loss to YZ.

YZ?

Well, to each their own. I used to even be for a short while in YiZhan specific Discord servers but that was last year? 2023? I can't remember well. It was a mistake to involve myself with turtles considering everything. I feel guilty about shipping the two and this won't change. People, don't ship real people. It's common sense but for someone who's a sucker for romance like me, shipping comes natural. I should really tone it down though.

I don't think they'll ever collaborate anymore in their lives, the 227 incident made sure of that. Personally I care more about Xiao Zhan's career seeing as he's the only one who suffered during and after 227.

You haven't addressed the points I made above. It's not the article per se that shocked me. It's what WYB said and did that really put an end to me being his fan. I wasn't much of a fan anyway, so no loss for him. Besides, we're here arguing about this, but it doesn't matter if he loses intl fans considering Chinese fans rule everything from supporting actors to dismissing them.
