For those watching "10 Things" who also watched "The Boyfriend": I just discovered that the guy who Suzume finds on the dating app and briefly meets up with on the street before panicking and running off (ep. 1 at around 18-19 minutes) is Ikuo, one of my faves from "The Boyfriend". It's just a cameo, but I could kick myself for not recognising him! 

Needless to say, the more substantive acting career to tentatively emerge from "The Boyfriend" is Dai, who has a supporting role in "Renai Ruby" (international release on Gaga in the next few days).

Looking forward to "The Boyfriend S2"!

Day 13 - An actor you would go on a road trip with

I have never been on a road trip, so I am not sure if it is something I would like. 

I like my solitude, and outside of professional spaces, I avoid human contact as much as possible.

That being said, if I were to suffer the presence of someone in a closed space such as a vehicle, I would go with Bible because he seems like they type who can hold deep conversations, but also knows how to stfp.

I thought Stay with Me was amazing but S2 was cancelled. To avoid unnecessary angst, watch until ep 23.

I'd go on a trip with Tong Thanayut. I've been following his YT channel and would love to explore Thailand with him. He's fun, full of energy, and really know his stuff when it comes to local culture and food.

I Am Your King 1 & 2

I needed something to watch that did not require emotional investment, so I somewhat randomly chose this series. It has Oat Pasakorn and Lee Long as side characters, which is probably how it ended up on my list. It is a 9NAA production, but does not include any NC scenes. Both series include a lot of kissing for main characters in high school though.

the two seasons are not related, and are only similar in that both involve the “king” drinking game which then extends into their daily lives. I actually enjoyed both, although neither ending was satisfying enough for me. Still, both were fun, cute stories about various conflicts about young love. Season 1 is extremely short, with only five 20-minute episodes. Season 2 was a regular length.

i found these interesting since they were made in 2017 and 2019 respectively. There is a lot of kissing for Thai shows from that time, especially with such young characters. Also there was a lot of underage drinking without any warnings. I guess the warning requirement came later. S 1 also stars an openly gay actor, which I guess was a bigger deal in 2017.

I only rated each season a 7, which was generous. I know that like me, Mr. P sometimes likes mediocre or bad shows, especially if the cuties are high quality. If you can’t say that about yourself, you can pass on these. But they fit my needs adequately.

I haven't yet watched "I Am Your King 2", but yes, I rather enjoyed "I Am Your King 1", even though it was a garbled mess (although not quite enough of a mess to qualify as a true trainwreck). In addition to the cuties (and the virtue of being a short series), it was interesting to see the familiar BL actors who were in "Love By Chance" the following year (Kla, Nic, Good, Trump).

Thanks for the nudge to finish "King 2". It'll be fun to see a younger Oat Pasakorn.

This is a trip down memory lane for me. I wonder how I would rate them today 🤔 I had watched them long before I joined MDL, so when I added them to my completed list when I was "moving in" here, I gave them a gut feeling rating. I rated season one 5/10 and season two got a 7/10.

Day 14: Advice you would give to a specific character

To Wu Suo Wei: don't cheat on Chi Cheng with women. I know in the book you did this. Just don't. Maybe you didn't plan to fall in love with Chi Cheng and thus discover your bisexuality, but the fact is, you're indeed bisexual and you did fall for him. The author didn't do you any favors by always saying you don't want Chi Cheng, but you know better than that. Take care.

I am sure I had a specific character in mind when I made this question, but I do not remember who it was right now. I will have to think on this question for now.

Hu Yetao (胡烨韬) is a world-class androgynous beauty who, as the third-place winner of the idol survival show "Chuang Asia S2", is now one of the seven members of the boy group NEXT1DE, which is notable as a mix of Thai and Chinese cuties.

Taotao hasn't yet done any acting, but based on his huge fandom following (particularly when he flirts with BamBam, Dorn, Omar, etc.), he would be an instant BL hit. 

I and many others would especially love to see him in a BL with BamBam, as the chemistry between them is electric. (See numerous videos on social media.) BamBam, although first and foremost a music star, does have some real acting experience. However, one technical problem: BamBam is Thai and Taotao is Chinese, so I think their only common language is English. Is Asia ready for an English-language trans-national BL (or at least where the protagonists fall in love in English)? It would be something new!
