I‘m really enjoying Promise of the Soul. The first episode was bad, though. poorly paced, inappropriate behavior, too much silliness to start the story. But after that it’s been really sweet and not too silly at all. The main couple have great chemistry, since they are a couple in real life. They’re doing a good job with the characters and giving the story just enough emotional weight. I can’t wait for the last episode this week!

OMG 2025 has been serving so many amazing BLs! Currently airing my favorites are My Magic Prophecy, Shine, and Memoir of Rati.

already finished my favorite was Reset, but Top Form was also great. Others from the beginning of the year that I loved include Perfect 10 Liners, Your Sky, Fourever You, and the Heart Killers.

romancing the ghost

i watched ep 1 on YouTube but I think the rest are only going to be on Likey. I don’t want to pay, especially for a short form show. Grrrrr.

Update: i can’t even find an app where I can pay to watch this. Does anyone else have any info?

Supposedly it's on Likee (not to be confused with Likey, which is a very different app), but according to Google Playstore, Likee isn't available in my country, so I think I'll just wait and see. These reels often seem to show up on other platforms.

Which raises a question that I have:

In the past few weeks, I've been watching reels on the Shortime app (free by collecting the daily bonuses, as it's way too expensive on a pay basis). I've also been doing the same with Swipedrama, Vigloo and Dramabox, but these three other apps have far fewer BLs than Shortime.

My question is: Are there any other similar apps for BL reels which are worthwhile? Beyond "Romancing the Ghost", does anyone have experience with Likee?

By the way, something to be aware of for those new to these apps:
I'm not sure about Swipedrama, but in the case of Shortime, Vigloo and Dramabox, the daily bonus points that one collects expire after seven days, so one needs to take care to use them in time.
In the case of Shortime, moreover, the "rentals" (free, using bonus points) are only for 72 hours, so one is under added time pressure.
Nevertheless, these four similar apps work pretty well, and I've gotten more used to the reels format, so I'm less irritated by the inherent choppiness. I'm finding some of the series quite enjoyable. (Once I collect my thoughts, maybe I'll put up a separate post about the ones I've especially liked.)

And many of the titles mentioned in other posts. Overall I think Taiwan does a pretty good job of producing BLs. Especially since they don't have nearly as many as other countries, yet the majority of theirs are really good.

all good except I haven’t seen innocent. I adored history 3: trapped! But i‘m so happy to find someone else who likes anti reset! I loved it and thought it was really touching, but a lot of people have trouble with the robot thing. To me it’s different because he’s actually going beyond his programming and developing the equivalent of feelings! So I don’t see it as just a robot romance. But it probably wouldn’t bother me anyway. The actors were really good too.

"About Youth": My first Taiwan BL is still my fave.

I just have to thank you again for recommending this! Id never heard of it before you mentioned it and it was wonderful! Plus I listen to the OST a lot!

also, a few months back I paid for shortime and watched every BL available then. My favorite was Romeo and Romeo and Juliet. But quite a few were good. Buddy Boy was serious but I liked it a lot as well. Also several of the sports ones were good, if predictable.

I can’t find the Likee app so I guess I’ll also wait to see if romancing the ghost shows up somewhere else eventually.
