I introduced a friend to Please, Yes and she was like "whyyyy" because there are only 2 episodes out so far. 😆

Oh yeah, I'm really enjoying this one sm!!

Serious question about Khemjira because I feel like I missed something: When Pharan/Wat lost his power but he hadn't started his additional training yet, he and Khem had the NC scene in the final episode. But even before that, they had already gotten together - I guess, we'll have to assume, they did everything but.

So, is that the rule for all previous Shamans as well? That once they have gained their power, they're not allowed certain sexual acts? What happens? Do they lose their power?

Meet You At The Blossom".

I think I’ve already used this series for one of the tags, but I’ll need to double-check. Thanks for the suggestion!

 Tina:
Does anyone have any recs?

I checked out your list and I think you might enjoy The Cursed Love.

 dora:
I need a love/hate relationship for the BL challenge. I

I’d recommend Head2Head from the currently airing shows, and Dangerous Romance, which is already finished.

 Tina:
Is anyone watching Punks Triangle?

I'm loving it! Chiaki and Ayumu/Ai are absolutely adorable!

 Indie Art Girl:

OOOOhhhh, okay. My bad. I barely know the difference between the two, haha. I actually don't watch more than a few mins of either the trailers or pilots that I post. No time and I don't want to know too much before watching the real thing.  😆

The guy on the left is looking really hot! Sorry I can never remember which is which.  I'm terrible I know. I do remember he wasn't the singer in Thame Po, right?

Left: Est — Right: William

 Indie Art Girl:
Blame it on my YT feed, lol

No, no, no, I’m totally blaming you for my ever-growing list of BLs to watch! You’re a bad influence… and I love it 😂😇🫣

The Love never sets: This series is honestly so intriguing. I really don’t get all the hate or the low ratings, maybe it’s because it tackles deeper, more mature themes. What it shows isn’t that far from reality. Tae and Jae are absolutely spot-on as Saint and Ice. You can feel their pain. Did anyone else notice how their names kind of reflect their personalities? Saint faces his suffering with a kind of quiet acceptance, like a saint would. And Ice? He uses his coldness as a shield, a way to protect himself. I saw some criticism about Jae’s acting, but personally, I think he nailed it, especially in showing Ice’s helplessness after everything he’s been through. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds, and I truly hope the ones responsible get what they deserve.

Mystique in the Mirror: I watched the first two episodes and wow, this series has serious potential. At first, it gave me major Dark (the German show) and The Boy Next World vibes, with characters jumping between dimensions and timelines, messing with the whole idea of linear time by influencing past and future events. But as I kept watching, my opinion started to shift… and honestly, I’ll probably change my mind again after the next episodes 😂.

Here are my theories so far:

1. At first, I thought the old man in the mirror could be an older version of Alan, trying to make him remember something, and that perhaps the mirror functioned as a portal between diferente timelines. In episode 1, when Alan covers the mirror, it didn’t feel like a reflection, it was more like they were actually looking at each other. Then there’s that dinner scene with Alan and his “dad.” Alan seems to have these weird flashes, like he’s reliving something that already happened. But we never actually see the dad, and that really got me suspicious.

2. The guy who claims to be Alan’s dad is definitely not his real father. He’s clearly drugging Alan and making him believe he has dementia, probably to get some kind of information out of him. That’s why Alan has to write everything down about his dreams in that journal. And how does this so-called father even know there’s someone else in Alan’s dreams besides the old man? Super suspicious. I’m starting to think he’s working with Dr. Nin.

3. Why is the hospital called “Familienhaus”? Win explained the whole “hospital of the forgotten” thing, but I can’t shake the feeling there’s more to that name. And what’s up with the two different pajamas colors for the patients? What kind of experiments is Dr. Nin actually running in that place? After episode 2, things definitely got more intense, especially with those teaser scenes for the next one. That woman calling out to Alan at the end looked like a nurse (her uniform matched Pete’s), but — and it’s a big but — she totally gave off ghost vibes. So now I’m wondering… are there human patients and ghost patients living side by side in that hospital? Is that why the pajamas come in two different colors?

4. Dr. Nin: Honestly, I’m pretty sure he’s running some kind of experiment in that hospital. I mean, Alan has to log his dreams in a journal, he’s on meds, his diet is strictly controlled and that place doesn’t even feel like a real hospital. Something’s definitely rotten in the state of Denmark… 😬

5. Win: At first, I thought he might be a younger version of Alan, which kind of made sense, right? Like we’d have past, present, and future versions of him (assuming the old man was future Alan). But now I’m starting to think Win might actually be a ghost, and the old man isn’t Alan at all, but maybe the ghost of his father. And here’s what’s bugging me: if Win is with Alan, why can’t Alan see the old man anymore? Something’s definitely off. 👀

6. Nurse Pete: I’ve got a feeling Pete has some hidden reasons for working at that hospital. Does he know Dr. Nin is running some kind of experiment there? Could one of Pete’s relatives have been a patient of Dr. Nin? So many questions, not enough answers 😂. But if the show keeps up this level of intrigue, it’s definitely shaping up to be one of the best of the year.

Another show that’s probably going to end up on the “best of the year” list is The Cursed Love. It’s seriously gripping so far. I love series that weave in mythology, fantasy, curses, and ancient secrets that shape the characters’ fates. Anyone else watching? What do you think of it so far?

 Indie Art Girl:

Yay, finally a release date!

10Dance or 10 Dances is coming Dec 18 on Netflix Japan. I've been waiting for this one with Machida Keita of Cherry Magic J-version and Glass Heart, highly rated but not BL, and on my PTW list.

"A sweet and stimulating story of love and dance between men."  Honestly this has got to be really good! I'm sooo excited!

Unfortunately I haven't seen a trailer post yet. But there's still time.

So u get this instead, in honor of our friend RX who is offline due to the hurricane in Jamaica:

I thought 10 Dance was BL. Well I’m watching it regardless. I love Machida Keita and I love dance. But this may be my last push to get a VPN if it’s not set for international release. But will it have subtitles then? Why Japan? Don’t you want your international fans?

REALLY good The Cursed Love episode 4 tonight! I love the song for the series that Ongsa sings so much. Every time it plays during the episodes, I'm always humming or singing along to it and swaying side to side being all into it and silly.

It IS BL! I reread my comment and will go back to correct it. Glass Heart isn't a BL. Fingers crossed we will get to see 10Dance. My biggest complaint about Japanese productions is the lack of inclusivity. I see the same thing in the K-pop world when it comes to Japan. I honestly don't think the International audience matters to them all that much. So I stopped subscribing/following Japanese sm over it.

I should add that I'm not trying to sound entitled but maybe I come across that way. In reality there's no country that HAS to provide their entertainment products (and with subs) for anyone other than their own population.  And I don't HAVE to use their products.

I'll keep being bad then.

I've watched 3 eps of Rearrange and so far I'm still watching. Interestingly I realized smth while watching this series. I enjoy time travel but I like it more when the story goes into the future, but not as much back to the past.

The past is regrets and memories, both good and bad. The past can't be changed irl, but in drama life anything can happen. Often wrongs are righted and fate is altered.  The path is open for a new ending.

While that's satisfying to watch,  seeing a drama character travel into the future is really exciting. Everything is new and different, even beyond one's imagination. The future is hopes, dreams and possibilities.

Ah my brain. That's enough heavy thoughts for now. 🤣

I'm not watching this drama but I love that u feel silly, lol. I wanna see that. Haha

For anyone who has not yet heard of The Cursed Love yet, check out the trailer. I would definitely recommend watching it.

Also, for anyone that missed me posting the song the other day that I absolutely am in love with from the series that Ongsa sings.

🤷🏻‍♀️

Haha, right? I liked it! 8/10 for me.

It being unintentionally hilarious was a highlight for me.

I know everyone’s favorite drama this year is Khemjira but mine is still Reset! I loved it so much!

Khemjira is still 100% my favourite, but Reset is definitely the most dramatic.
