The Wicked Game ep7

really?! This show is so over the top. It’s a little too much for me but I want to see how it all wraps up. Still, I cannot imagine how it will end in a satisfying way.

Oh no I really wanted this to be good 😓 I've been excited to start watching it

 Hannah:

Does anyone else think Pavel looks younger in Goddess Bless You from Death than he did in Pitbabe S1?

I don't think he looks younger, but both he and Pooh seem more confident and solid in their performances.

 Lily:

Omg I would love to join</3

Welcome!

I'd like to join. How can I get the Untamed badge?? I saw it on the first page. Is there more than one??

Welcome!

How do you guys decide where to post your thoughts?

I’m not the best with words and sometimes I can be a bit repetitive, but I really enjoy writing about things that move me. I used to share my thoughts in the comment sections of the shows, but unfortunately, it’s not as open or welcoming as it should be. On the bright side, I found this club and the block button. These days, I rarely post there. I usually leave my reviews on the show’s main page, especially since I only recently realized I could add comments to the lists I created. Yeah, I know… lol. And I totally agree about The Bangkok Boy. Shine, Kill to Love, I’ll Turn Back This Time, and Chosen Home really hit me hard this year.

Thanks to everyone who recommended The Blue Hour. What a brilliant film. Gun and Oab absolutely crushed it, especially Gun, who carries the movie with such a powerful, intense, yet beautifully fragile performance.

Chosen Home: I don’t think any series has ever made me wake up early on a Sunday, but this one does! I love how sincere and a little naive Hatano is. He’s just so lovable. And I really enjoy seeing how he’s affecting the lives of the people around him. His conversation with Hotaru’s biological dad was hands down the highlight of today’s episode. Nothing in this series feels forced. Every interaction is so genuine and heartwarming.

Head2Head: I’m having an absolute blast with this show. Keen and Sea have perfect comedic timing, and their energy is just hilarious. There’s something about Jinn’s bond with his mom that really speaks to me personally and both moms are just as chaotic as their sons! I’m really feeling for Mai being the third wheel of the group. And that car scene? Totally cracked me up. Honestly, I have no idea how Farm is managing to resist Van’s charm!

Welcome! If you go to the first page of this group you can find banners and badges. (But I can’t use them because it doesn’t work from a mobile device 🙁)

Thanks. Do I have to click on them?

So what I’ve been told is to save the photo by clicking on the badge, then upload it to a page like postimages.com, then copy the image link, then use the insert image icon to paste it where you want. But I’ve only gotten an error message because this doesn’t work from a mobile device. Try it, though. I’m sure @Indie Art Girl would help you if you have more questions.

To the contrary: I've often wondered, assuming that English isn't your native language, at how extraordinarily well you write.

That's an understatement. I generally avoid MDL comments like the plague unless I'm looking for some specific information. Thank goodness for this group, where we treat each other positively, respectfully and supportively.

I’ll Turn Back This Time, and Chosen Home really hit me hard this year.

As I posted a few pages back, "Chosen Home" quickly won my heart, and I'm likewise devouring each Sunday's episode (one week delay on Netflix). It might be too gentle and heart-warming for some, but I love stuff like this.

"I'll Turn Back This Time" feels so long ago. I also was deeply invested in it, and I would definitely call it underrated (maybe because it doesn't have the BL-requisite happy ending?). One of the nice things about these discussions, and about looking back as the year draws to a close and reflecting on our favourites, is the pleasure that comes from refreshing our memories.

 Ju Moon:
Head2Head: I’m having an absolute blast with this show.

As with quite a few GMMTV productions, the strength is the cast - in this case, not only the familiar actors to whom I'm already very attached (Keen, Sea, JJ, plus guest roles by Newie and Paul) but also Surf & Java, who've quickly won me over.

I randomly started watching it tonight and it's been a charming and quirky watch. A favorite combo for me!

Thank you for clarifying my instructions! I’m not exactly a tech expert lol.

now I definitely need to start chosen home. I’m just watching so many shows it’s been hard to juggle!

The cursed love ep 2&3

I’m really enjoying this. This series is honestly so good. The story is so interesting and the acting is great. Also, how come everyone in this series is so hot and good looking!! My favorite is the actor who plays Siwat, I find him so beautiful.

The Wicked Game - episodes 2 - 7

I binge watched to catch up with all the episodes I missed.

These are my very honest thoughts:

In recent times I prefer to give certain types of comments and write reviews after a finale because a finale gives finality in terms of plot development. However, this series has long passed the halfway mark with only 3 episodes remaining to be aired. Furthermore, I highly doubt that there will any type of major shift in plot to the improvement of the series.

This series has disappointed me to be honest. I love the concept of the plot, but in my opinion, while they have an intriguing plot concept, they failed to manifest it adequately into a series that brings the concept to life. Certain characterisations of some characters are vacuous which robs the series of the seriousness some of the themes call for. As a result, instead of causing me to lean forward on the edge of my seat, I was left irritated and found more hype than substance. I must say that it would appear that they were acting out a weak Wattpad story.

I look forward to seeing what the final overall rating will be, and the accompanying reviews from fans. Undoubtedly, Century of Love is a far better series, and this is a downgrade in every aspect.

How do you guys decide where to post your thoughts?

I normally copy and paste my reviews here to the reviews section on drama pages when I feel strongly about a series.

 Indie Art Girl:
A 10/10  for an all-around really really well-done drama, BL or not, it's levels above many dramas.

I concur!

Glad you enjoyed it.
