School Trip ep5

I am still loving this! Their facial expressions say so much! But every week i think I can’t wait a whole week for the next episode!

I am watching too many shows right now and have Too much to say about all of them. Me and Thee and the Japanese shows (punks triangle, therapy game, school trip, Akasaka s2) are the stand outs, although I am really enjoying the love never sets and the cursed love as well.  Head 2 Head and Me and Who are cute and To My Shore looks promising.

i hope Tide of Love won’t present too warped a view of BDSM. so far, I’m unsure about what’s coming.

The Journey to Killing You

this is a short show with only 6 30-minute episodes so it can be watched in one sitting. i really loved it. I gave it an 8.5 but think I should change it to a 9 because I can’t stop thinking about it. Keep in mind there are some very disturbing things (that really need trigger warnings) in this story, and the characters are  all morally gray.  That said, it is really moving. The subtle emotional changes the characters go through as the story progresses are portrayed masterfully by these actors. this is a story about how interest can turn to attraction can turn to love, and that love can provide hope in a life that seems bleak and meaningless.

i could write a longer review but frankly many people have already posted excellent reviews on the MDL page, and I pretty much agree with everyone who gave it a high rating. this is not a happy story but it is a hopeful one, and it has a satisfying ending.

if you want to watch but have any specific questions about trigger warnings or violence I’d be happy to go into more detail. I don’t think MDL does an adequate job of this, but some people hate spoilers more than triggers. Personally, someone warned me about one thing that I was glad to know about ahead of time, but I don’t mind spoilers about certain things. That said, I also can tolerate a lot of behaviors on screen that would appall me in real life. I believe that stories are for exploring our feelings about the range of life experiences as well as fears and fantasies. To me that is ok as long as one can differentiate what’s acceptable in real life vs. drama life. But we all need to know ourselves and what we are comfortable with watching.

So, I knocked off "Romancing the Ghost" - and for a low-budget mini-series (approx. 30 minutes total runtime), I thought it was a cute, enjoyable watch that didn't try to be more than what it was. I liked it.

Same, I liked it as well!

Interesting news:

Anyone here who had watched Takumi-kun series? In ep 5, was that sexcual assault

 HuaSheng4life:
I low-key wanna admit sum I remember seeing somewhere on Instagram that Thee has a brother name Rome(which Is possible for William to be Rome) I really hope William is Rome because my man Mok needs his Rome(o)

I didn't know that. If William is going to be part of the storyline, it would be an interesting addition. Their chemistry is great. 😊

This is interesting indeed. I hope it's not a "politically-forced" decision

PlutoCharon keeps coming up in my YT feed. Is anyone watching? I see a really low MDL rating, but I'm curious and not sure whether to start it or ignore it.

It’s a low-budget drama with an interesting story, but it could’ve been developed better. There are only three episodes left, and it’s just now starting to make sense. The actors are cute and really give it their all. I like their chemistry, but I don’t think it’s the kind of show you’d enjoy.

I agree 1000%

Are the guys who act as Van and Farm, are they new actors in GMMTV?

Van, played by Java, has been with GMMTV for a few years but this is his first BL. Farm, played by Surf, is new to GMMTV. He was partnered with someone else previously in I Saw You in My Dream, which was a WeTV production. He was also the second couple in that and I liked him a lot.

Very good points! I like how you express these things and take into account other people too.

I can tolerate what might be considered negative or unhealthy behaviors in dramas, but at a different level than some. I'm an HSP (highly sensitive person) and an empath. It makes my choices maybe smaller than some, but the alternative isn't very comfortable internally. My neurons are built different, lol. I'm okay with that.  It has nothing to do with judging or moral values, etc, it's purely emotional.

One of my "gripes" with MDL is the lack of tags that for some may be spoilers but for me are trigger warnings. I go through the drama page comments looking for ending spoilers and sometimes trigger warnings. If I can't tell but my gut says "maybe not ok" then I pass. I've been surprised a few times and got mad cuz the drama was actually portrayed as an innocent romcom, but noooooo it wasn't. 🤬

I don't judge what other's like to watch. If anything I'm a bit envious that it's easy for some to watch almost any kind of genre or storyline. I feel like a wimp at times but that's my reality. 🤣

I had a few minutes today and checked out the first ep but ur right, it wasn't smth I could get into. Oh well! 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think this is the first time I've had such a long list of CW BLs. I'm really excited about every one of them. 👏 👏 👏  (Ignore the one non-BL 🤣)

I wouldn't be able to rate in order of most fav to least fav, except for Lover Merman, it would be in last place without a doubt. Sorry all you cutie mermen's!! 🧜‍♂️

Am I missing any real cute and fun titles currently airing?

yk, I saw the first 2 seasons and thought they were ok. (8/10 for both). Yeah I should watch the rest, specially since it's the last one this year.  Added to my PTW list. I'll wait as well then binge, lol.

Me and Who EP 6

Apo/Park is such a cuuuutie!! I can't stand it! And his chem with Suriya/Big is sky high.  The ending omg...and still 4 eps to go! My poor 💓.

Tbh, if I had a partner/lover I'd want them to be like Suriya, or like Peach in Me and Thee, or maybe like bestie, Gyeon in Peach Trap, or even Watarai Tsukasa in School Trip! They all have that caring protective nature that fits perfectly for my irl character, which is more like their co-partner, but without their super cutie visuals, hahaha.

I see, thank you I appreciate it a lot. I'm pretty sure I've seen Java before in a series as a supporting role.
