#MeandTheeSeriesEP3

I saw this short video on twitter and wanted to share. It’s just cuts of quotes Thee said in ep 3, followed by the original reference!

I saw a video about Fan Xiao comparing his manipulation to Hua yong

Totally similar

@Ju_Moon

i agree with everything you said about Peach Trap, Punks Triangle, The Cursed Love, and Litchi Island. Your description of Litchi Island was especially beautiful.

Regarding The Wicked Game, you gave the characters more of a chance than I did. Your descriptions show you really thought about and understood them. Unfortunately, the ending was awful. There were so many better ways to end it than just killing everyone, and having Pheem come back with a new identity. I wanted Risa at least to face public downfall, and I wanted Pheem to do something more honorable to redeem himself, like help Than get his job back. I wanted Risa’s bodyguard to turn out to be secretly plotting against her, and I desperately wanted Chet and his bodyguard to kiss!! But no one had any chance for any of this with the way they wrote it, except maybe Than.

The show started off setting up a complex psychological game of manipulation and power struggles between the family members, but it never delivered. It was poorly written and repetitive. Basically every episode turned into everyone trying to kill each other while Chet threw a tantrum. At first I hated Chet, but after awhile i just felt sorry for him, like you. He really just wanted love and approval but never learned any other way to behave than violence. I loved his bodyguard, though, and really wish they would have at least had a chance to be together.

as far as Pheem and Than’s relationship, how do you forgive someone that shot you? Even if you can, one day he’s not sure he can trust Pheem and the next day they’re getting married. And even after “redemption“ Pheem is still lying to Than! It’s just a recipe for long-term disaster. It really frustrated me.

the best part, as you also said, was daou and offroad’s chemistry. They were great together, and made me feel emotional about all their twists and turns. This is saying a lot coming from me because I didn’t like them or either of their previous shows before. But they were great, even if the show wasn’t.(Except maybe not in the fight scenes, which often looked fake.)

plus special love to Than’s wonderful parents. And poor Mrs. Nit, who may have done some questionable things but stood by Pheem without ever being acknowledged for it.

overall, I could have written a better ending, as some people have in the comments. Frankly, I could have written a better show. But I still had fun watching, and it was so over the top after awhile that it was kind of fun. I even started waiting each episode for Chet’s tantrum. lol.

7.0

Thundercloud Rainstorm eps 1-2

despite a rather dark description, this show so far was more about attraction than anything else.

I did enjoy the first two episodes but the person who compared it to secret relationships is giving this show too much credit.

still, this could get more interesting. I will definitely keep watching.

Fun! And baby Pond!

Is no one in the BL world talking about “Heated Rivalry“??? First two episodes were >hot<!

Just finished Monster Next Door.  It was so damn cute right up to the end, aside from a few really difficult moments, of course. Speaking of which, ep 10 & 11 wrecked me, but I'm glad everything eventually came around and ended so sweetly. I wish that I had watched this when it came out, but at the same time I'm glad I didn't lol. If I had to wait a week for the next ep after watching ep 10, I wouldn't have made it lol. That ep was especially rough. My poor heart was shattered for God. Big & Park were outstanding together. I'm looking forward to watching all of Me and Who next week.

I finally finished the drama I was on, so now I'm free to start my first BL in almost two months...

Decided to choose Peach Trap because it just finished airing, and I've seen a few people talk about it so far. It's pretty short, so I'll probably finish it before I go to bed tonight.

@Ju Moon: Ditto, especially regarding your beautiful description of "Litchi Island".  As I've said before, you have a gift for words, especially as a non-native speaker.

I've not yet watched "Cursed Love", and given all the negative feedback about the ending, I haven't decided if I will.

I also haven't yet watched "Wicked Game", but given that it's Daou and Offroad I surely will. (As to the puzzlingly high average MDL rating of 8.3, I'm guessing that this reflects the popularity of Daou and Offroad rather than strictly the merits of the series.)

Just now finishing today's ep. 7 of "School Trip".

A narrative technique in well constructed BLs that I especially appreciate is going back to what happened and retelling it from a different perspective, providing the viewer with new insights - and that's what they did here. Thumbs up.

Voted! Thanks.

thanks!

i've been busy for the past 2-3 days and will be busy for around 2 days more so i might not be able to read all pages lol

 Indie Art Girl:

A bad ending affects the whole viewing experience! And the rating too. That's too bad for everyone.

so true. i was planning to watch this (cursed love). should i just skip it then?

Finished Peach Trap, rating it an 8.5/10.

It was lighthearted and made me smile, and from a short drama, that's really all I'm looking for. Kisses were cute, and the overall dynamics seemed pretty good. Did feel like the timeline went fast, but I also don't wanna read too much into it. It was short for a reason.

Honestly felt good to watch this after finishing a long, emotionally-wrecking drama. Might watch again if the TikTok edits get to me.

 Sophie:

Hey guys, I haven’t been around lately. The last few days have been really difficult for me.

As I sat down to watch the live show on the 25th, I received bad news about a family member I was very close to. He has since left this world. I hope he’s in a better place. He had been sick for a while, so it wasn’t sudden, but it was still a shock to lose him so soon.

I didn’t have the energy to do anything these past few days, but I’m feeling a bit better now. I needed to clear my mind a little, so I decided to hop back on the Club since it brings me so much joy.

I noticed we’ve got new members, welcome to the club!

Wishing you peace, comfort, and courage as you navigate this time of sorrow.

Any thoughts about The wicked game ? It had high ratings, yet I've been a bit disappointed.

Now that the last episode is out, I'm going to start watching today and probably finish by tomorrow.
