Day 13: Favorite Korean BL of 2025 The rating is low, but I'm such a sucker for second chance love in dramas, so I choose Business as Usual with all its misunderstandings, "I'll leave now before you leave me" insecurity and opposites attract tropes.
I still need to watch this one. (One of the nice things about KBLs is that, unlike Thai BLs, one can usually knock them off in 2-3 hours.) Thanks for the nudge!
I personally find it hard to imagine second-chance love, but that's more because I moved a lot in the first half of my life. If I still lived where I grew up and went to school, could this have happened later in life? Interesting to think about.

KJMDrama:
I finally got around to finishing Flirt Milk. It was a nice, cozy and clean show.
I really enjoyed it, too. Yeah, it was a bit of a trainwreck, but the cute and endearing kind of trainwreck.

FC Soldout
Somehow I overlooked this one when reviewing my 2025 titles. It doesn't change my answer ("Secret Relationships" p. 2462) - but yes, "FC Soldout" was a fun, cute watch, with a distinctly different vibe from other KBLs. I loved it!

The Boyfriend S2 is coming Jan 13! A Japanese dating show.
I'm especially looking forward to this as something different to watch. I'm not usually a fan of reality shows, but S1 was engaging and generally well done.
Speaking of "The Boyfriend", did anyone else notice that Usak (from S1) has an uncredited cameo role in "Chosen Home"?

iota:
i would love to watch something with older (than usual) MLs.
"Chosen Home" (currently airing on Netflix) has older MLs (the older of the two is 50!). I don't know if it's your cup of tea, but I think it's excellent - not only as a nice, gentle slice-of-life watch but also for its sensitive treatment of themes such as discrimination, homophobia, aging, sexism, etc.
