1000 Years Old had an... interesting ending.

I know it's not for everyone, but I loved it. Yeah, it was admittedly a bit of a trainwreck, and I didn't like it at first because I was expecting a real vampire BL. But once I started seeing it as a spoof (after 2-3 episodes?), it quickly won me over as one of those cute trainwrecks that I often find myself loving -endearing (at least to me), sometimes quite funny (albeit silly), and the unique  bittersweet ending had me literally in tears. It's also notable for: (1) having two really good, likeable female supporting characters, and (2) Poon Mitpakdee (now at GMMTV) in a minor role.

I personally find it hard to imagine second-chance love, but that's more because I moved a lot in the first half of my life. If I still lived where I grew up and went to school, could this have happened later in life? Interesting to think about.

I know of two couple IRL who took chances and married their high school boyfriends. As far as I know, they're still married. Personally, I enjoy Second Chance Loves in dramas, but it's not for me. I've changed a lot and I can only assume the people I once had a connection with decades ago have also changed. I'm in touch with many of them and can so clearly see why those relationship didn't last.

I finally have some free time, so I am just dropping in on this cold Sunday afternoon to get up to date with the Challenge and the posts.

Day 10 - A 2025 drama where you loved all the characters

Every character in this series represents an important characterisation in building and recreating the social and political climate and era on which the series is based. In my opinion every one of them serves a purpose to bring about a palpable experience through the screen. It is because of the nuance that they bring that I appreciate each of them individually. 

Day 11 - Best GL couple in a 2025 BL Drama

I cannot think of an answer; plus I do not normally pay much attention to them.

Day 12 - Something good that happened to you this year

I read the responses from the various members, and it is indeed good if not amazing that those who are going through mental illness are doing better and improving. It is also wonderful news that @UrYaoiholic is now cancer free. I cannot think of a more phenomenal Christmas gift that one can get; congrats @UrYaoiholic, wishing you all the best experiences yet to come in your life.

Congrats to everyone who had something wonderful to share that happened to them this year.

Looking back on the year I had, I can think of a number of things that were good that happened for me. 

• I got to represent the S.G of the UN by speaking before an assembly of delegates and diplomats, addressing international law concerning the seas (the island boy - the irony lol). I got to meet some amazing people.
• Thanks to receiving some substantial scholarships I have no student debts. 
• Maintained my 18 years old Honour Roll streak, and I am determined to make it last until my final day of studies.
• I got to complete the planning and execution of a three part lecture that aimed to inspire young people. I got to work with some amazing people, and I am proud that we made news on all three occasions.
• I got to attend a scholarship ceremony where I met one of my favourite politicians.
• I may have kissed someone...several times. 
• I got to spend another good year here with all you people, and met some new friends like @dora
• I have life!

There may be other things that I am not remembering. Do not let this list fool you. There were some low moments for me this year, and a great deal of uncertainty at times, but it all worked out in the end, so for that I am grateful to all that made it possible. The year is not over yet, so I am still holding out for some more good news before the year ends.
