Same! I loved it so much. I remember learning about it by chance after seeing a poll about which series people were excited to see, and the poster totally sold it to me lol. I became obsessed with it after it started airing. The concept of having the whole group in one series was like a dream come true to me (as an ex? kpop stan lol)

i don't know if anyone else had this experience but i was really surprised by how much i loved Thamepo. i didn't really know anyone in the cast before i watched it and just based on the premise, it didn't really seem like something i'd be into. but i gave it a shot on a whim one night and absolutely loved it. it's still one of my favorite shows of the whole year (behind only gelboys and top form)

Is anyone watching Tide of Love? I am so confused about what the series is trying to represent. I keep watching and getting frustrated but i can't look away. Maybe because I like SUK films and i want to support them but honestly it is a train wreck. Such mixed messages and seriously toxic. I am all for BDSM but i feel like they are misrepresenting it
I totally agree. it is all over the place and, once again, not at all representative of people who are actually into kink. I am still waiting for a BL to show real BDSM for more than a minute. But this show is hard to look away from. The actors have great chemistry and it feels like it is going somewhere even while it makes no sense. Plus the episode breaks are kind of jarring. if it’s supposed to be toxic, make it clearly toxic, and if it’s supposed to be turning into love, show the progression. The characters are not consistent.

i hadnt watched the last episode when i wrote this. It was a sweet ending but didn’t fit the show. I would still say this show was a train wreck but I enjoyed it anyway.

same here, i would absolutely love a more grounded/realistic depiction of kink/bdsm in a bl. sadly it can be hard to find in even more mainstream media too. i recently watched Secretary from 2002 and absolutely loved it. now i just need a bl/gay version of that 🙏🙏🙏
edit: actually i just remembered that the movie Pillion is coming out soon. which isn't an asian bl but it is gay! and so far i've heard good things about the bdsm relationship shown in it

I actually really enjoyed Love and Leashes. It wasn't too hard core but i feel it was really honest and tried to show that bdsm is just another way people enjoy sex

He is such an amazing actor and such a good person he was perfect for this role i really think it's a part of him. I agree like the majority of people I cried a lot but it was worth it.
It has happy and sad moments during all the drama but the ending is positive
