Is this about Heated Rivalry having 3 seasons? Sorry trying to follow the convo. Cuz if so does that mean the ending is open?

It does refer to Heated Rivalry, and no, ending is not open-ended. It's a happy ending for season 1, and they can continue their life story in the coming seasons. Kinda similar with At 25:00 In Akasaka, it has 2 seasons now but the ending in both seasons is not open-ended :)

 Da Bao:

Well, I graduated in July and since then I tried to find work but failed. I'm thinking I'll try again in 2026.

But I meant a break from dramas since I'm in drama slump land. :(

I'm currently in between jobs as well, hence can spend time here lol. Well, diversity is the cure for having drama slumps. You can watch some movies or read a book, or do some offline hobbies, those are what helps me when I'm in a drama slump myself :)

Good luck with finding a job! Jiayou!

Also yeah, I have a lot of plans for 2026 regarding dramas. I made a "Might watch in 2026" custom list that has basically everything I need. Dramas and movies from all MDL countries!

 Da Bao:

I just checked out the books on Storygraph and thought maybe I'll just watch the series. I don't even know if I'll like it? We need more men writing gay books that's for sure.

I have a list of them if you want recs. I've been reading M/M novels longer than I've been watching BL.

hmm gay books written by men? I could read some of those. But like, idk when, it'll take me a while to get to them since I already lined up the books I'm reading in Jan/Feb 2026. But I appreciate recs. I'll add them to my Storygraph tbr pile (which has 4 books now only).

I don't know what I'm in the mood for though. Nothing horror or gore. Everything else goes.
But not too much toxic relationships either? I know there's "dark romance" type. I don't like those regardless if gay/straight/lesbian.

Thank you in advance for the recs! <3

I was really hoping that  Xiang Xu Ji would air this month but I guess not.

i wonder if its a bl or bromance

DECEMBER BL CHALLENGE 2025
Day 28: Is there a drama from this year who's story or character made you learn something new or change your perspective about something

Khemjira (Ramphueng) , i rarely sympathise with characters portrayed as villains but her story was heartbreaking and her rage well explained , and the actress slayed her role perfectly too , i teared up/moved to tears few times watching the show

I'm in a bit of a drama slump myself., I've started a lot of shows but they didn't catch my attention. They're on hold or still sitting on my currently watching list (which is way too long right now). I tend to wander off to other genres to see what catches my attention. I'm now enjoying Shine on Me, a slow burn CDrama romance with Song Wei Long and Zhao Jin Mai. So far it's working, 2 episodes per day is great. I'm also reading instead of watching. I've read over 200 books this year. Hope to get back to my usual watching schedule soon.

2 eps per day releasing for me is too much. I always fall behind when it comes to airing C-dramas lol
Congrats on reading over 200 books! (I read only 26 this year and enjoyed only like 3 of them but yeah, I hope in 2026 this will be better).

Now watching the newly posted first episode of "DMD Friendship: The Third Chapter", presenting Domundi's new "Gen 5" actors. It's on both iQiyi and Youtube, with the iQiyi release supposedly "uncut" - although I haven't bothered to check what the differences are (if any). Since I'm paying for iQiyi anyways, I'm watching it there - with the cuties in UHD 4K resolution, whoo-hooo!

Now watching today's ep. 2. Comments:
(1) This makes a nice change from dramas.
(2) Patji has developed considerably since last year - not quite as dramatically as TeeTee between "Friendship" (S3) and "It Takes Two" (S4), but I'm feeling much more invested in him now.
(3) To the extent that the outcome isn't already pre-ordained, I'm wondering whether Domundi has given Patji and Ryujin carte blanche to choose different partners, or whether this is just a bit of artificial suspense before they're confirmed.
(4) This series is a cutie-fest!

(enemies to lovers)

Thanks a lot for the recs! I'll add them to my Storygraph right now.

Oddly enough I heard of some of those already. I mean, I read some lesbian books (mostly Sarah Waters), but I guess I heard of those somehow. They're pretty popular!

 jazme:
It does refer to Heated Rivalry,

ok thanks!  😁

RE:  Xiang Xu Ji

Since they were couple in Meet You at the Blossom I'm going to assume it's BL. Plus I've seen IG pics that look that way.  So hopefully!!

Holy Moly that's amazing! I've read.....none, unless art & cookbooks count, lol.

DECEMBER BL CHALLENGE 2025

2025 DRAMA THAT MADE YOU LEARN SOMETHING NEW

i feel like Shine has already been my answer for a lot of these but i'm bringing it up again! a lot of effort was put into making this series informative and accurate to the time period. prior to watching i knew very little about thai history but Shine really sparked my interest on the topic and inspired me to go learn more

 p43425:

You just got my attention.

I've been watching this one closely ever since I learned about it but so far I only know they finished filming in October.  Rumor was it might be out this month and there's still a few days left, but I'm not so sure.

I wander off to watch Stray Kids content. 😆 😂  I love them so much!

RE:  DMD Friendship #3 - I'm looking forward to this, but I might binge watch. I remember last season I had a hard time waiting for the next ep. Not sure why!
