Day 29: Favorite trope/theme from this year's dramas

Wants to take revenge and then falls in love with the person. Revenged Love.
I didn't think such a trope could work so well, but it did and I'm glad it did.

Also, maybe I watched enemies to lovers somewhere, which is my favorite trope of all time.
But I don't know which series has that.

In terms of currently airing BLs, you might enjoy "Head 2 Head" (which some have compared to "Bad Buddy", probably the most popular enemies-to-lovers BL of all time, although the similarity is only superficial).

Thanks Mr. P! I might give it a shot. I'll add it in my "might watch in 2026" list. I'm sure I'm missing out on a lot of cool BL due to drama slump, but I'll catch up eventually.

I went all out since I really like a  lot of tropes and we're almost at the end of the challenge! 

  • Fake relationship - Me and Who & Your Sky
  • Challenging relationships like social inequality -  Memoir or Rati
  • Friends to lovers - Peach Trap and Secret Lover (Secret crushes first!)
  • Forbidden love  - Shine
  • Rivals to lovers - Top Form
  • Enemies to lovers - Head 2 Head
  • Idol love - Punk's Triangle
  • Age gap love - Please, Yes
  • Love at first sight - Memoir of Rati

Guess I'm not as picky about themes as I am about everything else about a drama, lol.

Now watching today's first episode of "Love Alert" because (seriously) it's been a while since I've watched a Thai BL trainwreck and I have a strange craving. (Dora will understand this.)

Too soon to confirm whether it actually is a trainwreck, but it has definite trainwreck potential.

I don't think I've heard anyone here comment on the first two episodes of "Beside The Sky", the first of the three story arcs of "Fourever You Part 2" (8 x 3 = 24 episodes). Unfortunately, I'm underwhelmed so far: I like Bever and absolutely love Tonliew, and I think they'll have good chemistry together, but so far the heavy (and heavy-handed) story is just not working for me - in fact, it's rather annoying me. Fingers crossed that things pick up with episode 3.

The "Side Missions" are my fav part. I picked out each drama title according to the criteria and added it to my challenge chart. I'm ready for 2026 with a specific list of dramas to watch. No decision making needed, at least not for awhile, lol.

ooo this looks fun!! i might do it too. i feel like it might help me branch out from bl's, sometimes i need to switch it up a bit
