Yes, completely agree on Change2561 and especially BOC - and although everyone else looks small and insignificant compared to GMMTV and Domundi/Mandee, Dee Hup might also deserve a mention.

Me Mind Y gets an honorable mention for the four big names that they manage (Fort, Peat, Boss and Noeul).

Star Hunter gets a honorable (dishonorable?) mention for trainwrecks (with the notable exception of "City of Stars", which was a nice watch).

I hope that "Fourever You" gives Wabi Sabi a new lease on life, given their rich BL legacy.

I will be amazed if Idol Factory survives the year.

Looking ahead, iQiyi has launched their own artist management (see below), so I'm guessing their own BL productions will follow. Maybe also WeTV? They both certainly have massive financial backing from the Chinese parents.

studio wabi sabi is like one of the first ones to make bls(LBC) and they still havent left the school-life genre

boc is literally the goat. they came in late but production quality and their genres are game changer. even tho i personally am not a big fan of kinnporshe(except for the main cp) but shine has kindled a new found respect from me.

Can anyone please recommend me a series like Tale of 1000 stars or with a setting/character like earth played (phupha).
Right now every time I try to find ok or good bls ,I always find bad ones. I don't know why so I ask here for help.

I just recently came back out of my cave and been binging a lot of bls for the past few months(gotta catch up on the bls from the last 2 yrs or so) and the ones in my list(ive made a detailed list in ms sheets) are mostly newer bls. there are no series that are similar to the setting/character as 1000 stars(imo), its in a tier of its own. but i can give you recs on the ones i find are some good bls(imo) in no particular order...

I just finished watching Your Sky. It was really cute and kept me invested from start to finish. It was really a feel-good BL. Except it broke my heart when the sweet dad wasn't accepting Teerak and Fah relationship. I want to see more of Thomas Kong. 8.5/10

Now that I’ve watched it, I need to rewatch the first two episodes of DMD Friendship season 2. I want to observe the dynamics between all the actors who worked together in Your Sky.
After I finish DMD Friendship season 2, I’ll try to watch The Next Prince, which aired after it.

It's really interesting to learn about all the BL companies I think I will make a note to know which company made which BL.

They were really good too and now a lot of things that I saw in DMD friendship suddenly makes sense.

Love You Teacher ep1

i don’t know how I feel about the premise of this show. Do I want to watch Perth take care of seven-year-old Santa? I’m not sure I do. id prefer to see them both acting like adults.

that said, episode 1 was well-done. A lot was established about who they are and how they behave at work and home. I think they are both decent actors although Perth impresses me more. That moment when his eyes teared up when his mother (or Solar’s, not sure) asked how he was doing was really moving. I do like Santa playing “a ray of sunshine” type character. He has a great smile. Sammy is always good as comic relief. We have yet to see how Kay will fit into the mix.

just because I’m wary of this premise doesn’t mean I won’t keep watching. The cast is enough to make it worth it. I just hope we get romantic stuff as well as character development. It is a GMMTV BL, after all.

OMG! This weekend's ep 7 of both Duang with You and My Romance Scammer were INSANELY GOOD!! I don't even know where to start.

The opening scene of DwY was breathtaking. One of THE best intimate and sensual scenes I have scene in a long time. The episode was also filled with so many adorable moments and some heavier moments. TeeTee and Por are really great together. TeeTee is an especially great actor. He just makes you smile ear to ear whether you want to or not. You have no choice but to light up when he is there.

MRS was pretty intense. So many emotions and twists. I just can't get enough of Poon. He is just so damn adorable. I said it previously, but Poon and Ohm just fit so well together. I'm really happy they placed them together and I hope they remain so. Junior and Mark are such a fantastic pair.

I've done this for all three seasons of Friendship - i.e. gone back to re-watch the first part after getting to know all the new faces and especially after getting more deeply invested in them in their first drama roles.
