Love you teacher episode 1 : 

Wow, so many colors! That was my first thought while watching. I feel like we’re getting more BLs set outside of university, with slightly older characters. I’m glad, because I like both university BLs and non-university ones.

I think it’s not very common to see a drama starting with the couple already together, and I like that idea. It was fun and also had some touching moments. I really like the different characters. Solar’s mom is so sweet she made me cry when she asked Pobmek how he was.

I was laughing too much during the debate between Pobmek and Solar about cleaning. It felt like watching myself and my roommate 10 years ago.

It seems like Solar is going to switch a lot between his 7-year-old self and his adult self. I find that even more interesting than having only the 7-year-old version all the time.

Today I was at a Middle-Eastern cafe and a super cute gay couple came in with a sweet little girl and a baby boy with the biggest brown eyes. It was hard not to look for too long. Only Friends: Dream On

this has not been what I expected so far but I’m still really loving it. I’m enjoying seeing all these actors play some complex emotions, even if they are all way too old to play college students anymore. Lol

Duang With You

if it wasn’t clear last week, I’m officially obsessed. not only is this show adorable but also really sexy without being explicit. Plus, I loved that conversation Por and Teetee had about whether or not they should have sex and who would be top or bottom. As a former sex educator, I’m so happy when people talk about sex before diving in, especially when it involves a new experience. I also loved the top and bottom conversation because it was so relaxed,showing that they did not already have fixed ideas or roles in that regard. Maybe this will help advance the general conversation around BLs that every couple doesnt have to have an obvious top and bottom. 
TeeteePor are so fun to watch. I’m curious what direction the show will go in now, although it looks like the conflict for the next episode at least will be competition over Qin. I would like to see more NorthOtto too. What do you think about that conversation they had outside the apartment building?

Therapy

i got curious after all the buzz about this so decided to watch it. Also, I’m not adverse to watching men have sex. It’s not exactly porn, since I don’t think they‘re really having sex, but it’s close. I have to say, while it’s titillating at first, I get bored without a story. Plus this should be called “yoga sex” or something for all the crazy positions. I’m not graying out spoilers here because you should know what it is if you decide to watch. Plus there’s no real story to spoil. Personally of shows I’ve seen that are basically all sex,  (all Korean, interestingly enough) I thought sexual lessons: side story was the best, then double exposure, then sexual lessons, then therapy. I’m giving therapy a 6.0. Even acrobatic sex can get boring.

Never Date a Capricorn 

I knew this wasn’t supposed to be very good but I needed something I wouldn’t feel emotionally invested in to pass the time while winding down for bed. This fit the bill. Not great but also not terrible. Sweet and cute and kind of slow. Definitely not the best thing from Secret of Us but I didn’t mind watching it.


i will definitely join the group watch for Love You Teacher, but I may not get to it until tomorrow. I love PerthSanta so I’m looking forward to it.


there are quite a few other shows I really want to start, especially on Gaga, but I get overwhelmed with having too  many currently airing shows. I’m not sure why some seem easier to add to the roster than others. I also need to have a few shows I can binge watch if I want to.

I get overwhelmed with having too  many currently airing shows. I’m not sure why some seem easier to add to the roster than others.

I think the most currently airings I've followed at the same time was 14, which is admittedly insane. On the other hand, I rather like juggling shows to help hold my interest.

Regarding "Duang": Yes, it's nice to have a different dynamic /aesthetic than the usual "handsome, taller, older and implicitly seme + cute, shorter, younger and implicitly uke" stereotype.

No, here. "Group watch" just means what we usually do in this group (sharing our feedback and enthusiasm), but encouraging this a bit more actively after each week's new episode. 

I personally find that this enhances my enjoyment of the series, plus maybe it's also a way to encourage the lurkers. (Nothing wrong with lurking, but some people might be too shy to participate? And for those whose first language isn't English, no need to be shy: Your English doesn't have to be perfect!)

i have this same problem when i see a cute couple, i dont want to be rude and i hope they dont feel uneasy but they're just lovely to look at

I love them, too. Otto is a top-tier cutie-patootie! 

Regarding the conversation outside the apartment building, I have to say that one of my pet BL peeves is English being incongruously and pointlessly being forced into dialogue.
@Aoftion/@Kla: Please avoid this. Also, should North get bored with Otto, I volunteer to take over.

This is my first drama with PerthSanta pairing.

I agree with the amount of colours, it was very bright and diverse set which oodly enough I found soothing. I quite like Pobmek many sides to him. He might not be the best teacher but he is slowly improving himself to be better.

I absolutely adore solar and he is great with children and glad he chose to be a teacher as he is bubbly and warm. Who wouldn't want him as a friend? 

I thought we would've seen more of their relationship before the accident but that is okay. I feel like it is true that Pobmek relies on solar but now we are going to see how their relationship dynamic change due to Solar's regression.
