Just finished watching Yesterday and I think I will need few weeks to recover from the craziness that went down throughout the whole series. Also already feeling like having a void, bc I was so excited and nervous every week waiting what insanity would happen next. 😅Previous series that had this effect was Shine from last year, even if these are two very different types of shows.

I'm going to binge watch it starting tomorrow. Ready for the craziness but a bit afraid too.

My advice is that try to really keep focus on the first few eps, because otherwise the flash back scenes combined with the main plot unfolding will get confusing. After I think ep 4 onward the focus is full on the main plot, but especially at the beginning there is so much going on with the current moment vs. the flash backs.

 ElementalStar:

I completely agree. I was so nervous about how this was all supposed to turn around I was practically biting my nails clean off.

Yeah 100% agree, nothing left of my nails or nerves after this one. 😄

Thank you for the advice I will probably take notes for the first few episodes to not be confused later on.

Sammy’s Children’s Day

i feel compelled to add my two cents about this, plus some trigger warnings. First of all, I’m loving this show and I think the main couple are great even if they’re not coupling yet. Their chemistry is phenomenal and they are the ultimate “opposites attract” situation. The show is absolutely worth watching for them.

there is much of the drama that is not violent and just involves human interaction, which is great. There is also a lot of violence talked about or roughly shown but not in detail. That said, there are a few scenes that are extremely graphic and you should be prepared, especially in the first episode. Someone is tortured by having his fingernails torn off and then a finger cut off.  This is over with pretty quickly but nonetheless it is difficult to watch.

also, after introducing a number of important and sympathetic characters in the first two episodes, two important characters die at the end of the second episode. This is purposely upsetting and sets up the mafia lead’s motivations for the rest of the series. Nonetheless, it is a rather brutal ending and includes watching someone die by suicide.

there are also several stabbing scenes with a lot of blood splatter.

there is also a flashback scene of children being beaten, but they are then rescued.

if you can handle some violence, don’t worry about it. But if you prefer to know what kind of violence is coming, I have laid it out so far.

also, on a completely different note, this show takes place in Hong Kong and is in Cantonese, which I find really interesting.

I really, really, really appreciate your post with details. It sounds like it would be a hard watch for me.   You def mentioned a few of my triggers. Even just reading them was  😮 . I'll have to pass on this one.

On another note...(talk about timing, lol)

Countdown to Yes

Heartwarming couple.

This is the perfect sweet, uncomplicated calm drama focusing on the main couple from beginning to end. No over-acting, no side stories, no fillers. Just a nice, steady pace with a cute friendship that progresses into romance.

I wasn't bored. I think it's due to how well the actors were together, including their chemistry.  This drama would make a great comfort watch.

I would love to see them in another BL!

Which BL character is a good example of your ideal type for a partner?

Which BL character is a good example of your ideal type for a partner?

Kurosawa (cherry magic) for sure, in fiction i tend to find red flag characters interesting to watch but in real life I can't date them . Green flags like Kurosawa are amazing 💚

 Gabster:

Which BL character is a good example of your ideal type for a partner?

prapai (played by fort) as he is patient and willing even when met with resistance as well as protective when something happens

Sand (played by first) as he is fun, sarcastic, still cares about about his friends even when in a relationship

A cutie-patootie with a lovely personality who can cook (except this photo is a bad example because I don't eat sweets, but my most extra dearly beloved Pharm / Fluke can cook anything):

Yes, Fort plays an excellent green flag, but I actually think of Mut, his role in "Love Sea", as even more of a green flag.
