I really enjoyed Love Me If You Swear. I love the chemistry between SurfJava

Yay! Aren't they so fun to watch? For me they are a "dark horse" if that's the right term, that came out of nowhere fast. Now they're one of my fav pairings!

BTW WeTV published the longer trailer for the Love of Silom. I am excited. 💕✨

Yesss, I can't wait! I've loved Up for forever!

Exactly ! Good definition it's the same for me.

Why hasn't anybody mentioning this drama. It is a sweet cosy drama on a gay couple raising their son (through surrogacy). It did get a tad confusing when the flashback occurred as everything looked the same but they never had their son yet, the only indicator .It has made me laugh and feel bubbly

Ditto! (And yes, that's a perfect term.)

RE: Pappa & Daddy

I remember posting about it and how it ended made me a little afraid to watch S2. I never got back to it. But yeah it's a good watch anyways!

Which I hate and maybe will like in the future

Its a slippery slope those vertical dramas. I got sucked into them late 2023 and all of 2024 so much so I remember only watching 3 non vertical series. And mid 2025 I went on a vertical detox and have only watched about 10 for almost a year now. I had 11 of those 'watch ads to unlock' apps. I was a mess, I never want to go back to that.

Having now watched some, my thoughts on vert. dramas are, that for once in a while there is actually one that is executed sort of well and that would actually make you wish for a full on traditional series. Unfortunately a lot of them are not good in terms production quality, plot and acting. I usually watch one, if I see it being recommended by a lot of ppl, otherwise not my cup of tea.

Please don't sleep on - The Boy Next World: My Destiny

People are unjustifiably critical of it even though the Japanese drama improved upon the Thai original. The story has it's flaws but that is a problem in both dramas. I feel the jdrama is quite underrated and captured my interest better than many other dramas I have seen this year.

The story is related to parallel worlds so if that is your thing, give it a shot.

I think I will watch the Japanese version instead of the Thai one because I would like to see Nagumo Shoma again. He left a deep impression in At 25:00, in Akasaka.

Do let me know what you think when you're done! In the romance department, it really surprised me.

Interesting to hear you say this. Putting the incomparable Boss & Noeul aside, I agree, and objectively speaking I can see some points where the Japanese remake improved on the messy story, especially the ending - but speaking for myself, I also recognise that I enjoyed it more than the Thai original simply because I already knew the story already and didn't have to overthink some of the problems and incongruencies in the story (e.g. Jin's mindreading - what the heck is that about?).

In my case I watched the jdrama first. I really enjoyed it and I kept hearing people praise the Thai drama while hating the Japanese one so I decided to watch the Thai drama too. There are a few things that are better in the Thai like audible mind-reading in some parts but I didn't like the chemistry in the original. Mainly because the younger ML is childish and the way he spoke and behaved annoyed me.

Also many scenes which were just abnormal like when younger ML climbs on top of the older ML just to examine his scar. That scene was so absurd. MLtalking to himself in the cafeteria and hopping around from seat to seat. Fiancee shouting in a cafeteria and even slapping him and no one sitting there bats an eye. Talking in the middle of the road. I found a lot of problems with the original like these. Found myself watching in 2x coz I was getting bored because of the side characters as well.

I don't know any of the actors but if the Thai actors are famous I get why people are giving very low scores to the jdrama when it doesn't deserve it. As it is jdramas don't get very popular so unfairly scoring it is just silly.

Anyway, there're a lot of reasons why I enjoyed the drama more.

I think ep 6 - 8 were good.

Those are the exact episodes I was talking about.

Glad I'm not the only one!

I tried one or two but I didn't like the quality first of all plus yeah, the narrow vert view isn't my thing. But maybe if u really like the story or the actors it might be worth it.

Hmmm, I wonder why they were so addictive-like? Maybe cuz they're shorter?
