Tell me your favorite binge watch! (I’ll accept non-BLs too.)

if you're into law dramas - Pro Bono, Beyond the Bar

Heroes Next Door is a good watch too, fun and exciting/suspense minus morbid/violence

Study Group - about overcoming bullying, and not in a heavy drama way, more of fun and action, not violence

Psych Hunter is a chinese bromance

These are more into action, suspense but not romance

My parents watched Study Group and liked it but my mom got mad at the ending, and spoiled it for me. But I know there’s a season 2.

I like legal dramas. I just finished Idol I and am watching the currently airing Phantom Lawyer.

When I first encountered legal or suspense BLs they annoyed me for not having enough couple time (like Manner of Death or Laws of Attraction) but I have since learned to appreciate the BLs that venture into less typical genres. The problem is, they still have to be good mysteries or I won’t like them. I’ve been reading and watching mysteries my whole life, so I’ve seen a ton. Romance I actually only got interested in the last five years. But I’ve made up for lost time by joining a romance book club and watching over 400 BLs!

I like action and suspense but it depends on the story. I used to watch more of this but as the world gets more violent I want less of it in my stories. I also got tired of everything being serial killers or the end of the world or super graphic.

But even that still depends because I adored The End of the World With You. And despite some flaws, I really liked The Bangkok Boy.

But clearly with a PTW list like mine, I’m always game to add new shows to the list.

I was recovering from a back injury and I reinjured it!

Oh, no! Get well soon. I'll try to think of some good recommendations with happy endings.
ETA: A lengthy non-BL on your PTW list that I very much enjoyed, and which has a sweet ending, is "Bon Appetit, Your Majesty" (Netflix, Korean historical time travel with food theme).

That’s on my list because you said you liked it. But I do love period dramas and food dramas/shows.

@Dora: I found another title from your PTW list which is perfect for your healing: "Ingredients" with Jeff Satur and Gameplay (who really is a Cordon Bleu chef!). 21 short episodes, so about three hours total runtime. Delightful and very much feel-good! It's no longer on Gagaoolala, but I see that it's still on Youtube ("Tops Thailand" channel).

I'm sorry to hear about your back pain. That's a tough go for sure! It takes time and a lot of babying yourself. ❤️

I have a mix of titles below. I noticed you don't have many C-dramas so maybe the Chinese dramas below may not work for you, but they are highly rated and ones I think a lot of myself. As you know I don't watch many, if any, sad dramas so you won't find them here.

BL/Bromance

Advance Bravely 30 eps (your list)

Just Friends? - I wasn't going to rec cuz it's a short movie, but I saw it on your PTW. I liked it.

Secret Roommate - very short film but so fun. (your list)

My best long non-BL drama recs.

Healer 20 eps (your list) - action, mystery and romance!

Are You the One 40 eps - A fun watch!

Amidst a Snowstorm of Love 30 eps (your list) - Amazing ML character

Her Private Life 16 eps (not a long drama but it's on your list) - Her guilty pleasure could be us!

Nancheng Banquet 24 eps - Lots of laughs

Perfect Match 36 eps - Large family cast, very entertaining

The Prisoner of Beauty 36 eps - Enemies to lovers while married. Very well done with a slow build.

One Spring Night 32 eps (your list) - Long for a SK drama, but good.

The King 2 Hearts 20 eps (your list) - an oldie but goodie

For chasing the blues away you can check my rom com list. A few titles are above and on your PTW list

One unique series from my rom com list worth mentioning is Five Enough, about a blended second marriage couple with kids. (Both ML & FL are parents!). I watched this drama early on and thought it was very well done and funny, but I know now it does have it's melodramatic scenes! A Whopping 54 eps, lol.

Get well soon!! 🫶🏼

So my lowest rating was Oh! Boarding House but I honestly can’t remember it. Tonhon Chonlatee was pretty cringe for all the homophobia humor. I never drop things but I couldn’t get through Sutiny. And My Secret of Seer was a waste of my watch time.

I can’t wait for Sammy’s Children’s Day but there are already spoilers online so be careful!

Yes, I tried my best to avoid watching any on Instagram. So far so good! I'm running an errand the whole day, so waiting for tonight to watch it 🥳

@dora The Judge from Hell in your PTW! I loved the badass main lead, a bit of romance, some fun 😁

never again:

Venus's groom, what the duck, check out, Fahlanruk, step by step , the middleman's love, A(ir) Moment, Crazy Handsome Rich, For Him , Lady Boy Friends

I hope you feel better soon 💜

Since you like period dramas for the non-bls I want to recommend Fated hearts and Pursuit of Jade they are both more than 35 episodes and they were addictive to me like the untamed I've watched them in 2 or 3 days.

And not a period drama but I really loved Had I not seen the sun it has 2 seasons.

Does anyone have a pdf of goddess bless you from death novel?

Handsome & cute BL couples, every one of them! Often these compilations aren't accurate but I believe this one is!

Here are three C-dramas that are romance and period that I didnt see on your already completed list. Killer and Healer (everyone is sleeping on this drama I swear but this one is republic china), The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty (adaptation of a BL novel which I have read, this was also produced by Jackie Chan so the action is awesome), and finally Fangs of Fortune (this was so passionately bromanced advocated that there is a 6hr youtube analysis on why this drama is secret BL... yes I did watch all 6hrs of it too 😅).

Friday BL report:

Watched today's episode 5 of "Contrast" (Gaga). Quite good. Feeling more and more invested as the protagonists struggle with their feelings and issues in a way that resonates with me.

Eagerly awaiting today's episode 7 of "Way To You" (WeTV), knowing full well that the English subtitles probably won't be up until tomorrow. ETA: Whoo-hoo, this time we got English subtitles promptly! Thank you, WeTV! From the reference to "February 24" in the last episode, I'm assuming that the show was pre-recorded, but there don't seem to be any leaks that I can find as to who the winners are. (Yes, I confess: I tried cheating.) P.S. Not to be unkind, but I'm really hoping that Jony gets voted off the island!!!

Trying to make myself look forward to today's episode 3 of "Love Upon A Time" (iQiyi). I found the first two episodes disappointing, but the director has a decent track record (including "Khemjira"), so fingers crossed that it improves.

Continuing with "Never Forget Your Enemy", which was supposed to be a binge watch, except that I'm only on episode 3. But first, time to take doggies for their late afternoon walk ...
