Day 6

Best and worst Plot/Storyline.

Best - 

1. well, like pretty much all my answers, KinnPorsche becuase I like crime\mafia series. I do think the story had some problems (~plot holes~), but all in all I really loved it. 

2. Triage - I liked the time loop plot, it was refreshing watching something different than the usual. 

3.  Vice Versa - like with Triage, it was different and I liked the parallel universe plot. 

4. Not me - if other people consider it as 2022. I liked the twins plot and also the fact it spoke about injustice\society. 

5. 180 Degree Longitude Passes Through Us - this series was just so good. 

Honorable mentions: Dear Doctor, I'm Coming for Soul (liked the grim reaper plot), Ghost Host, Ghost House (liked the ghost family plot) and Kabe sa (I liked that the main was a mangaka and the art part).

Worst - 

1. Big Dragon - this story didn't have much sense imo.  The transition from enemies to lovers was very fast and was just done badly. Then all the misunderstanding and misscomunication. Just bad. 

2. Kissable Lips - I actually like the vampire plot, but this one was done so badly! vampires die if they kill someone? are you kidding me? I really wish one day we'll get a good vampire BL. 

3. The Tuxedo - it was just a bad series, what can I say? 

4. Unforgotten Night - I actually enjoyed this series as I found it to be very funny, but this is just mafia done badly (maybe just a bit better than in Golden Blood). 

And, I won't say those 2 are bad plots, but let me complain here for a second: 

The Eclipse - why so dramatic?? it's just high school!! I really liked the mains in this one and I don't say it's a bad series, I just found it to be a bit too dramatic considering it's just about high school. If this plot took place in the military or something like that,it would have made more sense. 

Cupid's Last Wish - I don't have a problem with body swap plots (though they are not my favorite), but why they made it look like Lin was so weak and incompetent? this whole series view on women was really bad imo (not speaking about the period part...so bad and annoying!). With all my love to Mix and Earth, I just got so pissed off watching this series.

1. Plot that hooked me:

Not Me:  while body / soul swap is a common trope, the twin thing was new and I really loved the way it was consistently executed all the way through the series. They also did social justice points right. 

Old Fashioned Cupcake: I don't know if it was the the reality of the pandemic and changes that happened in our lives or what it was but the storyline really impacted me. It made me want to go out there and find joy in little things again

Eternal Yesterday:  Even in the first 5 min, it was like WHAM! It had me - I am still watching it but they did the ghost / post death life storyline so well!

Honorable mention: KinnPorsche - I like mafia storyline but come on - I'd be kidding myself if I said I was devouring KP and re-watching for the plot / storyline alone with what the 500 hottest Thai men on the cast list?  I'd be re-watching even if it was plot akin to Dumpster Fire with that cast!

Fahlanruk - aka Dumpster Fire - WAS there a story / plot? Nuff said

Big Dragon - I'm really loving the boys' fan content but storyline was a mess! It went from destroying real estate level make-out to hand and forehead kissing in what felt like a minute. Storyline felt very jarring and disjointed.

(Dis) Honorable mention: Check Out - Another storyline that felt so clunky and all over the place and just badly done

Plots that hooked me:

KinnPorsche:

The plot was just so good! It kept me engaged, excited, and most importantly, I rewatched it! I NEVER rewatch BLs. The fact that I'm thinking of watching a third time has to tell you something. The mafia idea did get a little lost but only a little. Instead of showing mafia life,  it showed family romances and drama in a mafia life (does that make sense?).  And the cast, omg. Hottest cast of the year. No current BL has rivalled them in terms of pure hotness. 

Triage:

I really loved this one. I only started watching because BunTan had like one appearance in it, but I ended up really loving the plot. Jinta was by far my favourite. The plot was fantastic, the acting was good, and I didn't skip scenes. That's the icing on the cake.

Secret Crush On You:

I know a lot of people hate this, and I did too at first. But I couldn't stop myself from tuning in every week. Toh was annoying as hell, but I still wanted to watch the next episode. I guess I was hate watching in the beginning, but by the end, I loved it. It ended up getting a 9.5 from me. That's pretty high.

What was the Plot again?

Big Dragon:

I really don't remember anything from this other than them hating each other, having sex, recording it, having sex again and fighting.  I hate watched in the beginning and still hated it by the end.

Unforgotten Night:

Hated the acting and the plot. I don't even remember anything besides Sammy was in it, the mafia plot was bad, and it was a waste of time. I also remember that someone in the comments got mad at me for saying that Kamol wasn't very believable as a mafia leader. I still think he isn't.

Fahlanruk:

Sex, argue, slap, apologise, rinse and repeat. That's what I got out of this. I don't know why I watched it, it was obvious from the first episode that I was going to hate it. They were both toxic characters. No one in the whole series communicated properly, and the mains acted like immature children. "You don't trust me!" *Bitch slap* "I'm upset with you!" *bitch slap* The slaps were the most memorable thing in the entire show.

Omg I forgot about SCOY and I actually rewatched with some skippage. Totally agree that there are some annoying aspects of the ML but the storyline was great. The idol crush aspect was new to BL and  I thought they tried and did well in representing diverse LGBTQ+ characters. Also can we talk about the chemistry between Billy and Seng!
