That was such an excellent series. The fact that the average MDL rating is only 8.0 just confirms what we've already talked about: MDL inflation over the last year or two, i.e. "9.0 is the new 8.0". (The inflation seems, on average, to be less than a full notch, but definitely more than + 0.5.)

After giving it some thoughts, I'm restarting and finishing Perfect 10 Liners. Talk to you all in 14 episodes 🤭

This feature would be pratical. I like to see how people rate a show to decide if it's worth it or not. Sometimes I also check if multiple people rated a show a 10, and if that's the case, I'll try it.

I am horrible at rating something. I always rate higher than I should as if I feel bad. Unless I think its so bad that it pissed me off then I rate it below what it should. So looking at mine is pointless.

But I have a system to tell on MDL. If rated 5 or below 90% of it being bad. If rated 6, 80% of being bad. If rated 7, 50/50 split. Rated 8, 80% of being good. Rated 9, 90% chance of being amazing.

You should be. In the absence of the relevant contract(s) and other documents, and without knowledge of Korean law (which I assume is governing), we can only speculate. However, it would seem to me that if rights were conveyed from Hanyang to Habitus without the associated contractual obligations, it could potentially be fraudulent conveyance. It's probably a lot more complex than "which side is lying".

It could be that Jeff Satur's objection to the release is not just about money but rather the crappy quality that I would expect from Hanyang, i.e. he'd rather it never see the light of day. That's just speculation on my part, but in any case, Jeff has a professional reputation to protect.

This mess will never end..... I do find it interesting that one side is claiming non-payment and other that fees have been paid, because if payment that has happened should be very easy to proof with bank statements.

I think it was a valid point, that this could be about the quality of the show, but objecting airing, bc the actors don't like the end result could be trickier than directely something related to not being compensated. At this point considering how much drama has been involved with the series, I am unsure is it beneficial to any of the parties involved to have it aired.

I have 4 c-dramas on my current watch list, but I'm saving Pursuit of Jade for last because, just based on the first episode, I know it's going to be awesome and I'm a 'save best for last' type girl. 😆

Sometimes I get obsessed, like with DWY which I watched in less than 24 hours.

I watched the new ep of Love You Teacher and then the last episode of MRS back to back and I had a déjà vu moments hearing Jasp.er for the second time 😂

It made sense for LYT, but I wasn't expecting it in MRS. I almost forgot what I was watching.
