I need to rant for a moment.
The recent updates to this site have me overwhelmed and frustrated.
Overwhelmed by the addition of group pages (basically splitting everything up) and the multiple threads in each discussion section of each group, not to mention a feed for each group. Yikes! I really want to socialize on MDL but the time increase to do so is not sustainable long-term.
Frustrated by the updated editor, which is not as user friendly in the least, especially the table tool, my fav. Grrrr! My pfp has taken a hit after spending hours and getting nowhere trying to fix content only to end up deleting some of it on purpose out of desperation. And I don't get frustrated easily. ๐๐ตโ๐ซ
For example: What prompted my rant this morning is I wanted to share Dao's new OST. He's a BL actor so it makes sense to post to the BL group (not this thread, the other one, lol), but it's also an MV so as a member of the music group I would like to share it there too.
I posted it to both feeds since the groups are separate with different members. Well, my post now shows up in the main public feed 2x and on my personal page feed 2x. I don't understand the feeds enough to know what the best result is. Maybe I have to choose which group feed to post to? ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ

There is a machine translated version that aired yesterday (I've found it on Kiss) but I didn't watch it, still unsure if I will ever watch it.
i watched a little bit of it, the AI translations aren't very good (not surprising) so i'll probably wait until better ones are available. plus they have different actors speaking thai, korean, and english so it got confusing fast lol
from the few minutes i watched, this definitely looks to be a bit of a trainwreck (also not surprising) but i still found it entertaining. and i love jeff and barcode so i'll likely keep watching at some point โฎ (. โ แด โ.) โญ
I have so much on my plate right now with semester exams at university, and there are so many other good series either airing already or that I didn't watch yet that I don't think I'll waste my time with bad translations, even less if the series isn't good.
I'll keep an eye on this forum and the comments you make about it after watching it, and will decide then! ;-)

i do get what you mean, i dont post a lot but i prefer the old tool table soo much more than the recent one, i tried this recent one 2 times when adding content and i had hard time adjusting the pics etc to the point of feeling frustrated. because it feels like too much time is wasted trying to get the content fixed.
also im not a huge fan of the feed groups too, i feel like if we have a limit of 5 necessary groups its alright but now as there is plenty it feels like its too much dividing so im mainly just focusing on the main one which is mdl feed,giving a quick look to music and boyslove feed once in a while

Then let's rant together for a minute! I won't be of any help though, since I joined not long ago both this forum and the BL group at the same time.
I agree with you that between this (very active) forum and the various discussions in the groups, it increases a lot the time spent in discussion. My recommendation: focus on your battles, get notifications only for the topics you like, and don't pay attention to the rest. It's impossible to be everywhere, anyway.
On the pfp topic I can't help, I don't even know what it is ;-)
Regarding the feed, it feels logical that it appears as many time as you post it in the different channels/discussions (in an ideal world there would be a way to duplicate posts, so it would be recognized as a duplicate, and wouldn't appear twice in the feed). So either you individualise each post (like changing the text above the video for ex.) but it will take time, or you only post in the discussion you consider to be the most relevant (topic-relevant or reactions from the group community you expect to be the most interested in it), or you don't give a sh*t, post it as many times as you want and go on with the flow - that's what I would do personally :-D

Yesss. Yesterday I finally realized when you add an image to a space in your table you'll see a horizontal black band, right? Wherever that black band shows up is where the image will land. So try positioning your cursor over the space to bring the band up at the level you want it to be or the same level as the image in the box beside it. It still sucks though cuz it's not always accurate.

Yes, I agree. I started "unsubbing" from a few threads last night, but it didn't feel great cuz friends are having convos there and even if I don't have much to say it's nice to read their posts. Never know if I may want to join in based on comments. Like here! Now it won't be an option unless I check in sometimes, and try to catch up. Again, like here only times it by each thread in the discussion sections.

My solution for that is to have only one thread on the BL group page titled something like "BL Lover's Club Unite" haha. and we use it like this thread. Just a general ongoing convo about everything. Only one sub and notification.
On the pfp topic I can't help, I don't even know what it is ;-)

yeah the new version of the table tool has been getting on my nervessssss
and tbh i've just kinda avoided anything with the groups for now, it's a little overwhelming. but i was thinking about making a badge request thread so it'd be easier to make them for people who wanted them but i have no idea where to put it. idk maybe i'll just pick either the old forum or the new creativity group and then make a post in the other with a link or something? it's a little confusing having both the groups and the forums lol
side note: i've realized i can make badges with gifs (no idea why i hadn't tried that yet) and i figured out how to recreate Rien's emblem badges (yay!!)

I think the new creativity group would fit well. You can share the thread link anywhere or anytime you want, like in the old forum and even on your pfp if you want.

I wish I could be more detached, but my brain/eyes are so visually sensitive I notice when I don't have my content the way I like. My eye notices even the smallest detail sometimes that wouldn't get a second look by most people. ๐๏ธ๐๐๏ธ

That's definitively a good solution! I like the nice atmosphere here in the forum, but for sure it would also work with your suggestion above. As long as the forum stays let's not worry and if it's indeed discontinued, then we'll organize something!
