Funny BL actor names compilation. My head is spinning.
I actually have a spreadsheet with all the repeat names, their Thai names, their partners, and their shows. I know you hate spreadsheets but just like you love visuals, I love lists. Who knows why but having lists makes me feel more secure.
Speaking of remembering names, though, I definitely have the most trouble with Korean names because they’re not only non-familiar to me but also so similar to each other. Plus when I learn the names of a K-pop group I learn their stage names, but eventually I have to learn their Korean names too because people use both.
My goal is to recognize all the actors and idols I like by name. I practice every day by labeling new photos I collect (or my friend collects and sends me.) but I still have to look up a lot of names because I just can’t remember everyone.
Chinese names are actually the hardest for me to pronounce but many Chinese actors have Westernized nick-names. If not, I can’t remember the names at all because I have no correct corresponding sound in my head. Luckily there havent been too many Chinese BLs yet and I’ve only watched a few c-dramas. At some point I will have to learn how to say Chinese names so I can remember them. So far the only ones stuck in my head are Tian Xu Ning and Ziyu, and I’m probably saying Xu Ning wrong. lol.

I actually started my non-western movie experience with P-dramas (non-BL) and Bollywood movies, before my current addiction.

That's amazing! I can see how it might feel more secure. I do like and use short lists but they're usually on whatever piece of paper I find atm and some lists are on my desk top or in reminders. Or on my phone...
My dad used napkins for writing or drawing if he didn't have any paper close by. I stopped doing that after I switched to cloth napkins (more earth friendly).

I was in a poor mood tonight, so I re-watched Star and Sky: Star in My Mind. Nothing nicer than 8 eps with JoongDunk to feel better.
So now question to you who have watched (almost) everything: is Star and Sky: Sky in Your Heart worth it? It has been in my PTW list forever.
And bonus question: can I watch Our Skyy 2: Star in My Mind like right now, or is it better after Sky: Sky in Your Heart? What about the Star & Sky Special Ep? I'm lost
Sky in Your Heart does not have the chemistry of JoongDunk, but it is still a decent watch. I think the special episode is supposed to come after both series, based on the cast. I don’t really remember it, but I only gave it a 7.5. I think you can watch Our Skyy: Star in My Mind without watching Sky in Your Heart. I watched them all in release order though. Our Skyy is focused on the JoongDunk characters. I just can’t remember if there are references to Sky in Your Heart or not. If there are, they would be minimal.

Frustrated by the updated editor, which is not as user friendly in the least, especially the table tool, my fav. Grrrr! My pfp has taken a hit after spending hours and getting nowhere trying to fix content only to end up deleting some of it on purpose out of desperation. And I don't get frustrated easily. 💀😵💫
I find editing the tables annoying. I'm lazy to update challenges or try make things nice🤣
I wish I could be more detached, but my brain/eyes are so visually sensitive I notice when I don't have my content the way I like. My eye notices even the smallest detail sometimes that wouldn't get a second look by most people. 👁️👄👁️

This is what I mean about being spilt up. I was afraid it would be like this when we first knew of the changes. And here we are. If this thread gets discontinued it will certainly be a loss.
My solution for that is to have only one thread on the BL group page titled something like "BL Lover's Club Unite" haha. and we use it like this thread. Just a general ongoing convo about everything. Only one sub and notification.
That's definitively a good solution! I like the nice atmosphere here in the forum, but for sure it would also work with your suggestion above. As long as the forum stays let's not worry and if it's indeed discontinued, then we'll organize something!
