Have you guys ever tried watching something you've seen before but in a different language?

I’m French, but I don’t like watching dramas with French subtitles I prefer English subs. I’ve been using them for more than half my life, so French subtitles feel weird to me now. I started using English subtitles when I was around 13 or 14 to watch episodes faster, and it ended up being really good for improving my English. A few weeks ago, I couldn’t find English subtitles for a Japanese drama I wanted to rewatch, so I had to watch it with French subs, but I couldn’t even get past episode 1.

I'm not watching it yet I wanted to ask opinions because I haven't really saw people talking about it and I don't know if it's worth it.

i've finished ep 6 and i'm thinking if i'll finish the whole series just for the sake of the 2nd couple or just drop it lol. the story is a bit similar to jinx, if you're reading manhwa. but the second couple has more sense than the first one. plus the storytelling in the first few eps are a bit all over the place

i dont recommend it imo, i liked the second couple more but even then i thought whats the point of watching when im not enjoying it so i dropped it
